A couple of evenings ago, our daughter Lori and her family stopped by our home. I was working at my desk and had talked to all four kids as they stopped in my office. When Lori and Scott were ready to leave, they started calling for kids. When four year old Ashley was summonsed, she replied. "I have to say bye to Grandpa." She walked up to my desk, attempted to reach her little arms around my belly and said good-bye. She put her cap on over her cute blonde hair, and as she headed out of my door commented to no one in particular, "Now I'm good to go." No one was about to rush Ashley before my good-bye had been said.
May you and I follow Ashley's example and never get so busy in either marriage ministry, nor in standing for marriage restoration, that we allow others to rush us past speaking to our Lord God. Speaking to our Heavenly Father gets us "good to go" and face whatever the world might bring us.
