Welcome to the Rejoice Marriage Ministries Chapel.
Update on Bob: Tuesday - So good to wake up at home instead of hospital today. Moving slow and weak with lots ro recover but so thankful for God saving my life. -RES
Monday - Bob is discharged and I am headed to the hospital! Jehovah- Rophe does heal! PLT!
Sunday evening - I went to church praising the Lord again today. Went out to eat with our youngest son, Tom, his wife and Samantha. Then we all went to the hospital. Samantha has a loose tooth and wanted Grandma to pull it out in the hospital room, but it is not ready. Bob is ready to come home and I am ready to have him home. The nurses and the doctors that have seen him this weekend say he is ready, but is all up to Dr. R. his cardiologist. Bob's strength is coming back and he walked several times to the hallway today. So we are praising the Lord and praying discharge is Monday.
Saturday morning: Bob has walked to the hall 2 x since yesterday. He is praying for his strength to come back quickly. Drs. stopped his blood thinner expecting him to have surgery, now it is too thick and so he has to stay in the hospital to get thin enough so he will not have a possible stroke. One doctor said he could go home this weekend except for his blood. So we are praying his blood will get thin enough by Monday. Bob is doing great from what he went through last Saturday morning. Another miracle that he can praise the Lord and write about. Never doubt the power of prayer!
"And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven...The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." James 5:15,16b
Friday afternoon: Bob is doing well. He is ready to come home! The doctors are keeping him over the weekend to watch his blood pressure and chest pain. So far no chest pain and he is off all his regular meds for chest pain . Bob's blood pressure is within normal range without an IV. Now he needs to great his strength back and home sweet home on Monday. Praise the Lord!
"No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper." Isaiah 54:17
Thursday afternoon: Praise the Lord! Bob is out of CCU and moved to Telemetry. He has started Physical therapy and he is getting stronger each day. The EP specialist says because of his heart attack he cannot have a defibrillator for five weeks. God is in control. We are believing for a healing, so Bob will not need one. Thank you for all your prayers.
"Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray. In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice;in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation." Psalm 5:2-3
Thursday morning, we meet with the EP specialist and cardiologist regarding Bob receiving a defibrillator now, later or never. "Lord, please give the doctors divine wisdom and knowledge, You only are the Great Physician. Lord, show Bob and I to know Your perfect will and way. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen."
Praise the Lord! Bob was allowed out of bed and sitting in a chair for the first time. He loves it and no chest pain. Today, Wednesday, we are still waiting for his blood to thicken and to see the EP specialist who will decide officially if he is a candidate for the defibrillator. The doctors have decided not to do a catheterization, because the risk is too high. They are going to stop his IV medications today. Thank you so very much for your prayers. Please pray for the doctors to have divine wisdom and direction from the Greatest Physician, Jehovah Rophe how to handle all his medical problems.
"I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." Psalm 27:13-14
New praise! Bob's pulmonary edema has improved since yesterday and they reduced his oxygen. His temp is lower! Prayers are working!
Bob was admitted to a local hospital on Saturday with pulmonary edema. Bob has had a heart attack. Bob's cardiologist, Dr. R, came in early this morning. He told Bob that he needs a defibrillator and possibly a catheterization later this week. Doctors must wait for a few days for his blood to thicken because he is on Coumadin. Bob also has a fever and an infection that has to be cleared up first. So we do need your prayers this week for the Lord's healing touch on Bob's heart and body.
"Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits -- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases." Psalm 103:2-3
Update & Praise : Praise the Lord for a good report from the doctors for a stander's son, Brent, 20 who has been sick and in pain for several months. The doctors who thought Brent had a very serious illness has given him a much better report. He will take medicine and should feel much better soon. PTL! All his pain and suffering will be gone in the mighty Name of Jesus! The Lord did hear our prayers!
Please continue to pray for David who has a brain tumor. He has had radiation and is having to stop his chemo treatments for two weeks because of bad side effects. Please pray for David and his family. Please continue to pray that Jehovah Rophe will destroy and remove all the cancer cells in his entire body for God to get all the glory, honor and praise.
New Update: Ashley, our four years old granddaughter, is scheduled to have reconstruction bladder surgery because she does not have the nerves in place to control urination. She is still in diapers because of the problem. Ashley and her parents have an appointment in Ohio in the beginning of October to repeat the test regarding this. If improved, surgery will be cancelled. If not, many hours of reconstruction surgery, followed by two weeks in the hospital, is scheduled early in December. We are praying for a miracle healing from the Lord soon in the mighty Name of Jesus.
Ashley was found to have sacral agenesis/caudal regression syndrome when she was two years old. She had surgery in March for her choking and breathing problems, but the Lord healed her when the surgery was not successful. Ashley went to an Ohio children's hospital in May for her latest evaluation. You can follow Ashley’s health issues from Lori’s blog - http://caringbridge.org/visit/ashleylassen/journal?jid=5893865
Pray that spouses who are away will have wisdom and discernment and leave the other person out of family functions involving standers. Pray that fathers who live far away will come home to see children.
UPDATE: We received a call from the company we rent billboards from in FL. They are giving us a free billboard in the middle of the state on the Turnpike. All we have to do is pay for the vinyl. Praise the Lord!
Pray for God's favor for us with other billboard advertising companies in getting more billboards up.
Pray for all marriage ministries. May all of us direct hurting people to God's Word, the Bible, and not share our opinions. May we all listen to the Holy Spirit and always minister with integrity.
Pray for standers who will be appearing in divorce court today and in the near future. Pray for all divorces to be cancelled around the world daily.
We thank God for the parents who have taken a stand to pray for their son or daughter's troubled marriage. We also hear from people who have taken a stand for their pastor's marriage, or for the marriage of a friend. Pray for all marriages that God will find one prayer warrior to stand in the gap for any couple who is fighting the spiritual battle to save their family.
We each want to pray regularly for:
Please pray for all the teenagers and young adults who are having to choose every day whether to serve their Lord or go the world's way.
