“I have had a burdened heart as many standers have had the first few weeks of the holiday season. Today it is rainy and I awoke feeling weak in my stand. I shared this with my Lord during my morning prayer. I asked for communication with my spouse and within 10 minutes he called and his sweet voice was music to my ears. Needless to say, my gray day has turned into a sunny day within my heart. Once I was off the phone I cried and shouted praises to my Lord Jesus. He loves us so much and I truly feel blessed.” (Georgia)

"I had been praying that God would show me a sign that He wanted me to keep standing. On the way home from work I saw a rainbow. I thought how I would like to take pictures of the rainbow but I didn't have my camera and it faded. After I got home, I had to go back outside. I saw a beautiful double rainbow of which I was able to get pictures. Praise God." (Georgia)

"Today my book order arrived. I asked the postal carrier who it was from which led to a conversation about marriage. I even asked him if he believed in God. We chatted about faith. God used my stand for ministering to a stranger." (Canada)

"In a recent email my husband was describing activities he saw us doing together in the future. For the first time in many months he wrote that he loved me. God is showing me in many ways that He is working on my husband and I have faith that our marriage will be restored." (Wisconsin)

“The Lord gave me a wonderful Christian friend who is also a stander. She lives in another state and the Lord continually allows her to see Covenant Transport trucks. I have been praying for the Lord to allow me to see one also. I live in a small rural community. I was on my way back to work from lunch one day last week, and while waiting to pull out from a side street, a truck pulling a trailer passed in front of me. On the back of the trailer were the words 'Disaster Relief.' I knew it was from the Lord. He is my Disaster Relief. I praise Him for His faithfulness. I know He will save my husband and restore my marriage without a doubt.” (Missouri)

"I asked my spouse to forgive me for the damage that I caused our marriage. In the past she would tell me that she would not even know where to begin to forgive me. Today she texted me and said that she forgives me for the pain and neglect. I know the Lord is at work. My prayers have been heard and my marriage restoration is on the way. “My husband came into the house requesting to talk to me. All this time he has not been able to face or talk to me because of the guilt. I welcomed him into the house and we spoke for about 25 minutes about the children. I was so amazed he came into the house which I thought he will never do. “I saw a dump truck in front of me with 'Jesus Won’t Dump You' on it. Then the following day, I finally saw a Covenant Transport truck on my way to visit an aunt with terminal cancer. On the drive back, I saw another one beside me on the freeway. What a wonderful feeling to share the excitement of seeing one of those trucks. God is good.” (California)

"My prodigal spouse left again the end of last month. I was devastated, but I continued standing on the Word of God. My prodigal has been spending more and more time at home and has also brought back some of His clothes. I continue to trust in the Lord for complete restoration." (Tanzania)

“The checklist for standers you sent out in “Charlyne Cares” is excellent advice. As I read it, God showed me that even with my marriage restored, and in spite of all our problems, I still need to abide by these words of advice on this checklist. Many marriages are broken up because the spouse did not heed to the advice on the checklist and got into a relationship that caused a divorce. The Internet is a dangerous place where the enemy likes to prey on those with troubled marriages and on standers. "After no contact from her Dad, my daughter became very frustrated again. He finally responded, but only with questions to help him with his divorce proceedings. She was hurt, but was able to reply and pour out her heart to him. The divorce questions that the enemy had used to harm us, God has turned to be an opportunity to speak love to him. "This week I went for counseling with a woman who knows I am standing for my marriage. In the past I think she has doubted, but this time she had a surprise for me--the tale of another couple in an impossible situation, in which the husband just now got saved, and both are going to work on their marriage together. So now this Christian counselor says she will believe and pray with me for my marriage. Praise the Lord." (Michigan)

"I thank my God for His goodness. We went to court and the judge postponed the divorce. I now know that nothing is too hard for God. I would have given up on my stand had I not found your Ministry." (Canada)

"My husband and I separated and he has filed for divorce. This past weekend we took our kids to church for the fall festival. We had such a wonderful time and he stayed the night. I know God is moving and working on my husband to bring him home. Thank you so much for your encouragement. God is truly blessing me in so many ways." (Louisiana)  A Bobservation - On the same weekend the Ministry sponsored an activity at a church school in South Florida. I could not understand why God wanted the Ministry name on a rock wall climb until reading this testimony. Now I wonder how many prodigal husbands and wives stood by that sign while their child attempted to climb. (Maybe next year I could volunteer for the dunk tank under "Dunk A Prodigal.")

"The Lord allowed a visit by my spouse. We had laughter and a great time together sharing a meal and watching a movie. My spouse also seemed more relaxed during this visit than at other times. I thank the Lord for His continued mercy upon us." (Canada)

"My prodigal husband who is still at home sent me a text expressing his love for me. God indeed speaks to prodigals. Praise His name." (United Kingdom) 

I have had hardly no contact with my husband. Yesterday he called and said he loved me and wants to get back together. The Lord is so faithful. My situation looked hopeless, but I kept going by God's Word to walk by faith and not by sight. I didn't see anything happening, but I didn't have to because God had His plan all along. “Praise God, my husband is home after being separated four months. I know that God can do exceedingly more than I can ever think or imagine, because I know God keeps His promises. Thanks for being an inspiration to me during this time.” (Tennessee)

"Greetings, yet again, from the land down under. After my letter, 'Sacred Bond' was in last Monday's Sydney paper, people were attacking me, writing in, asking what right have I to say that same sex marriage is wrong and harmful. My reply was published in Saturday's Sydney paper, under the editor's heading, 'Let's Fight The Good Fight For Marriage of Men and Women;' 'In reply to my critics, thank God for the majority. Our nation was founded on faith in the Bible. Marriage is a sacred, permanent, life-long covenant relationship between one man and one woman. This is God's perfect order, as marriage is the bedrock of stable families, strong communities, healthy society and in a nation's best interest. Let's preserve God's way of marriage, the only true and right way, between one male and one female.' I have had much support from family and friends for my public stand, and this has been an encouragement to me." (Australia)

"I prayed and asked the Lord to please let me know that he was working on my husband and that my husband was thinking of me. Later in the day I received a text message from my husband just to say hello. God is working on my husband." (North Carolina)

"I was discouraged recently. I picked up my Bible and decided to read even though I felt so discouraged. God had a long talk with me and told me my husband feels inadequate for me right now and is trying to figure it all out and how to come back. God also chastised me for wondering if the signs I see are just wishful thinking that things seem to be improving or answered prayers. He told me He is working! He then led me to Thessalonians 5:16, 24. He told me to call my husband. I thought my husband should be the one calling me and was convicted to put my pride away and I called him. I could hear in his voice excitement to hear from me. I invited him to join our daughter and me for dinner the next day. He said he'd love to come and told me he would bring dinner." (New York)

"In the beginning of my stand, I had to get up in the middle of the night because the pain and grief was so bad. Now I set my alarm each morning for 4 A.M. to spend a couple of hours with God because His presence is now my priority. I am in love with Jesus and plan on doing this long after my husband returns." "Listen to my prayer, O God, do not ignore my plea; hear me and answer me. My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught at the voice of the enemy...But I call to God, and the Lord saves me. Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice." Psalm 55:1-3,16-17

"Praise the Lord that on Resurrection Sunday my husband invited me to go with him to his parent's place for lunch. In recent years, I had not been invited. I had lifted up this concern in the Prayer Room on Sunday, and I'm so thankful that we could all join in prayer the last few days." (Pennsylvania)

“I was praying on the way to work one morning this week. I was angry that nothing was happening in regards to my marriage being restored and questioning whether God wanted me to stand. I told God I had seen no definite signs to verify that standing was the right thing in my situation. On the corner ahead of the intersection was a sign for the Covenant Presbyterian Church. I guess God gave me a sign, literally.” (Idaho)

"I thank God every time my husband is ugly to me; that lets me know he is not happy in his new life. Happy people don't speak the way he does. I asked my lawyer to take his time in response to my husband's lawyer to give God more time to do His mighty miracle." (Texas)

“My husband divorced me 12 years ago. I forgave my husband before he ever left and I have no hate or bitterness. In fact, Jesus has let my love grow and grow and I am determined to stand until Jesus brings my husband home. June would have been our 42nd wedding anniversary. That is going to be a great day to praise my Lord for all that he is doing in my life and for all those standing and believing. We have an awesome God and He is faithful.” (Texas)

We want Testimonies to boast of what God has done, not on what Rejoice Marriage Ministries has done. We do not use a lot of testimonials about our material, but your stand for a restored marriage will be helped greatly by books and tapes from the Rejoice Bookstore.

"I thank God that my daughter is out of the hospital and recuperating at home. I thank God for saving her life and giving me the strength to take care of my grandson during this difficult time. Thank you for all the prayers and encouraging words." (New York) (We had sent an urgent request to the Rejoice Pray 24 team when this stander’s daughter was admitted to the hospital.)

“I was listening to one of Charlyne's tapes and in it she mentioned praying for your prodigal to be obedient to the Lord. I have been praying that for a week now. Today I felt frustrated and wanted to know that my husband was hearing the Lord and that my prayers of obedience were being answered. I asked the Lord to have him call if he was begining to be obedient to God's voice. My husband called tonight and even though he was asking to come to see our son, who was not home, asked if he could come by anyway. Praise the Lord that my husband is being obedient.” (California)

Yesterday I received a letter which was upsetting and from the enemy. I was hurt by the contents. I cried out to God and He showed me in His Word Malachi 2:11-16. Here's a summary: 'In Judah, in Israel, and in Jerusalem there is treachery, for the men of Judah have defiled the Lord’s beloved sanctuary by marrying women who worship idols. You cry out, "Why has the Lord abandoned us?" Didn't the Lord make you one with your wife? "For I hate divorce!" says the Lord, the God of Israel. "So guard yourself; always remain loyal to your wife." Praise God He is always on the throne and in control." (Florida)

"After months of silence, my wife returned my phone call. I was able to talk with her about a past problem and asked for her forgiveness. I’m still standing." (Oklahoma)

"I was at church on a Thursday. The Lord was really moving after service and we ended up worshiping and dancing before the Lord. I felt an unction to go outside and scream, 'Honey come home now.' That night when the new Charlyne Cares came it was titled 'Honey come home now.' I was so excited because I had been obedient to what God had asked me to do." (California)

"My husband and I are on speaking terms now as we wait for the court date for our divorce to be finalized. To God be the glory." (Grand Cayman)

"The Lord laid on my heart to post a sign for my prodigal. I was sure the Lord wanted me to do this. I called the sign company and they offered me a rate cheaper than our usual dinner out on Valentine’s Day. The sign went up yesterday. It reads '(name) Happy Valentine’s Week. We Love You And Miss You.' All Praise goes to God." (Florida)

“I have been cynical of standers' sightings of Covenant Transport trucks and their interpretation as a sign from God regarding their marriage. Yesterday was my turn. I was on my way home from the gym and stopped to buy yogurt. I finished the yogurt and exited the car to dispose of the trash. As I walked to the bin, there was a Covenant Transport truck gliding by. The road runs through a built-up neighborhood and is not frequented by big rigs. As I pulled out of the driveway of the restaurant, I saw a license plate that bore my husband's and my initials. Coincidence or is it a gentle reminder from God that marriage is a covenant that is not to be taken lightly or broken even when the other party defaults?” (New Jersey)
