"I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness. "I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols. See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you." Isaiah 42:6-9

“I was reading my Bible and the Lord spoke a rhema word to me. He gave me Luke 1:17. I was at church and I had been seeking the Lord for some answers. He again gave me more scripture from my Pastor. These two scriptures say that the Lord will turn father's hearts towards their children and children's heart back towards their fathers. Praise the Lord.” (Alabama)

"God is working miraculously each day, changing personalities of family members so they are not even responding to things that they would have normally. He is answering my prayer, healing relationships and preparing hearts for the day my in-home prodigal says he is staying home for good. To God be all the glory for all he has done and for who He is. If we have Him we can not go wrong." (Pennsylvania)

"Thanks to Rejoice Marriage Ministries leading me to my God, I have learned to stand for my marriage, to have faith, to be patient, obedient, forgiving and loving. I have also allowed God to transform me into a loving, caring, encouraging child of His. (Arkansas)

"God is good all the time. At times I doubted, but when I totally gave it to God, it no longer consumed me. My husband told me he wants to come home. It has been a long struggle, but God has revealed what needed to be to bring him home. He wants to do the right thing and be a part of his family again. Praise God." (Florida)

“After (husband) succumbed to a long time sin I was shocked. I soon found myself running to the only Person I knew could help me; Jesus. I asked the Lord to show me how much He loved me. I found myself beginning to change after that. My husband saw it too, and remarked.” (West Virginia)

"God has given us an answered prayer. My dear husband visited a church. This is a man whose heart was so hard to God and spiritual things. I give all praise and glory to God for this. I got such a clear picture of God's great love for my spouse and family. "Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift." (Virginia)

"This week, on our anniversary, I received an email from Rejoice Marriage Ministries telling me that my prodigal and I were being prayed for. I praise God for His amazing display of power and love. He is on my side." (New Jersey)

“I am blessed to have homeschooled my children. Since my husband left, his plan has been for our boys to go to a Christian school. My prayer has been for God's will to be done in regards to their schooling. Praise The Lord, my husband has told our boys that they will be homeschooled the upcoming year. This is a direct answer to my prayer that the Lord would soften my husband's heart and that he would be obedient to the Lord's will, whatever that may be. To Him be all the glory, He is so faithful.” (California)

"Yesterday our Lord moved mightily in my life. I shared His wonderful works with my prodigal even though it didn't pertain to our situation. It was evident by the tone in his voice that he was moved as well." (Oklahoma)

"My husband recently moved to a new city and a new job. He called to give me new contact info. His address ends with 51. His home phone ends with 51 and his work phone also ends with 51. That same day I read to Charlyne's devotional on daily praying Psalm 51 for your spouse. I had to laugh. There are no coincidences with God. I know He is working." (California)

"This past weekend my brother and his family were spared when the tornado that went through Georgia passed just two blocks away from them. They were all fine. I'm praising God for that." (Virginia)

"God brought my spouse home after an absence of several months." (Virginia)

"For the first time in a long time last weekend my husband, our children and I enjoyed a day together. He takes the kids alone to spend time with them but this time he invited me. He seemed to enjoy being with me. Each time he called my name to come watch as he tried to win an arcade game, my heart was filled with joy. Praise God that He continues to give me small signs of what is to come in our marriage and our family." (Illinois)

"I have been standing for my marriage for years. My husband left me and married the other woman. He has been coming over more and more and tonight he told me he may be back to go to church with me and the kids tomorrow...God is wonderful." (Ohio)

“Today is my birthday and what a unique gift God blessed me with. When I read Monday’s 'Charlyne Cares,' I discovered it was my submission! For my birthday I had told my husband all I wanted was for us to go to church because he has been working a lot of Sundays and I have no car, so not only were we able to go, but we took my daughter's boyfriend and a nephew. God, like all good fathers, loves to give His children 'just because I love you' surprises. He is truly good.” (Texas)

"My husband and I were supposed to work on our house to get it ready to sell while we were on vacation last week, but my husband has been working to make extra money. He decided we were going on vacation and we went. We had never been on a real vacation since we were married. God is working in our marriage to repair all the damage. My husband has even started wearing his ring again. I praise God because none of this would be happening without Him." (Illinois)

"God brought me in contact with you months ago after my husband left with another woman. With your help I grew a lot. I had my wedding anniversary this week on my birthday and I was calm and excited for what God is doing in my life. He did not bring back my husband yet, but told me it is because He has a better plan for us and I must just wait, pray, give, and fast. I moved into an intimate relationship with God and know my husband is coming home back to me soon." (South Africa)

"I felt as though the Lord was speaking directly to me through 'my prodigal is double minded.' I had not seen anything happening in my stand, as a matter of fact, things have been getting worse. After my husband had remarried, I have been wandering around lost. My husband has become very angry and bitter and I could not understand why. Now I understand. I feel as if God has given me the nudge I needed to be strong in my stand again. God will never leave me. Praise the Lord. Thank you for all you continue to do through all your own trials you are truly a blessing!" (Nebraska)

"I received my first Valentine's Card in years. It thanked me for being patient and promised that we'll live happily ever after. I know God will bring my husband back home soon." (California)

"My husband came over the other night and said, 'I want my yes to be yes and my no to be no.' My husband has very little Bible or church background. There is nowhere but God he could have gotten this scripture. He said that he loves me, and that he is thankful for the 'unconditional love' I have shown him. I thank God for allowing me to be a vessel that shows the love of God to my husband." (Oregon)

"God has done so much in my life, even when I thought I really messed up. I told God when I was taking a break at work that no one understands. When I came back from break a lady brought me a plaque saying 'God Understands.' Then when I came home from work an elderly woman called and asked if I wanted my husband's father and mother's wedding pictures. I believe God is wonderful. I know that my husband will be home soon." (Ohio)

"I had the pleasure of talking to someone about the Lord today and he asked Jesus into his heart. Praise God that there is one more person out of Satan’s hand." (Louisiana)

"Labor Day weekend my husband threw me out of our house saying he wanted a divorce. He had never treated me this way before. For weeks he remained like this towards me, although he never filed paper as he threatened. I found Rejoice Ministries and found hope and my way back to God. I have prayed and fasted, and now my husband is asking me on dates, and we see each other a few times a week. Although he insists we live apart until he sorts through his issues, I am so thankful to God. I feel my husband and I are going to reconcile. Praise be to God." (Ohio)

"Praise the Lord. My marriage was restored, but the enemy came back in because I failed to continue to stand. Because of this, my husband and I have been separated in the same house for several months, with him not speaking to me. Last night, while watching tv, he was talking to me as if nothing had happened. I praise the Lord because this is a sign that He is working in my marriage." (Florida) A PS from Pompano -  A spouse does not have to be gone from home to be a prodigal. Having an at-home prodigal creates new difficulties, but please remember all of the new opportunities for prayer it opens.

"I miss Monday nights so much, hopefully I'll be able to start coming again. I wanted to share how the Lord has been moving in my life the past few months. He has taken me to a whole new level in Him. I have been more in tune with God and the plan He has for me, now it's just between me and God, and that is what He requires of all of us, that we be obedient to Him in everything. He says he will grant us the desires of our hearts, but we can't serve God half and half, it has to be 100%. God is working on the other side, it's just that we don't see it." (Florida)

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us-whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of him.” I John 5:14-15

"I will be having outpatient surgery tomorrow. My husband will accompany me to the hospital and asked me to stay at his place. God turned his heart of stone to a heart of flesh. I praise God and thank Him." (Washington State)

"I'd like to report that a week ago my husband told me he'd like to come home. He was in great pain and the enemy used it and he wavered on his decision to work our marriage out. However, the last two days, in spite of his pain, he is standing with his decision to stick by our marriage. My praise is to my Lord, Jesus Christ." (Louisiana)

After two years of being gone, and almost one year since our divorce, my husband has finally decided to communicate with my son and daughter. He gave my son a ride, and they talked and he told my son he was there for him. A couple days later he called my son. My husband also initiated a conversation with her. I have been praying for communication from my husband to my children. I am so thankful to the Lord above. (Florida)

"Last week I gave the Pastor's tape to my Pastor. We have never fully discussed my stand, but he knows what I am doing and my reasons why. He has never seemed interested. Later, he told me when he first heard of what I was doing, he definitely thought ‘denial', but after listening to this tape he understood so much better where I was coming from. He also said that he had never been in a church with divorce recovery, and his church would never have one after hearing how it had affected Bob's life." (Florida)

“God lets me know that I'm not just waiting around for when she comes home, but that His kingdom is advancing and He makes me stand and be a part of that. Somehow, I feel more married than ever, happily married. Hallelujah.” (New Mexico)

"While on a trip to Boston this past weekend for a conference, the Lord spoke to me in a way that has been the most powerful since my husband left several months ago. Thank You Jesus for a wonderful weekend of faith and worship with our family." (New York)

"After months without seeing or speaking with my beautiful wife, she called me last Saturday for some information. Gone was the anger and hostility from her voice and she was gracious like the lady she truly is. In that brief window, I could see that our awesome God was softening her heart. Our God is faithful." (Texas)

"My husband has been home for a few months after many false attempts. He is going to a Christian college majoring in theology. Sometimes I think that God has a sense of humor since my spouse is still not living a Christian life yet he wants to study in a Christian environment. This was also our first Thanksgiving together in many years and we went to Florida to visit family. For the first time I saw the Rejoice billboard that reads 'Forgive Them.'" (Georgia)

God postponed our mediation date from last Thursday. God has set aside these two weeks for something important. I don't know just what yet. I know without a doubt that this time is from God and for God to show God's glory. I need to hear God's instructions in order to make some hard choices." (Georgia)

"Today at Bible study the Lord gave me hope to stand for my marriage. When Jesus was anointed at Bethany in Luke 12:9-11 the priest wanted to kill Lazarus, as well with Jesus because his life, raised from the dead, caused many to have faith in Jesus. My marriage will be risen from the dead and be a witness that my Lord did this for me. I will stand regardless of my flesh and naysayers. Praise God for this revelation in His Word." (Ohio)

I praise God that I know my prayers are being answered. The anniversary of our divorce was last week and I was feeling especially down. My children came home today from their Dad's with the news that he had broken up with the other woman and she was moving out." (Missouri)

"I asked my Lord if my husband's plan to divorce will succeed. He took me to Proverbs 19:21: ’Many plans are in a man's mind, but it is the Lord's purpose for him that will stand.' I could not have asked for a better confirmation of my stand for the complete healing and restoration of my marriage." (Florida)

"My spouse left me in October. The Lord has really been working in me. My pastor's wife, who has been a friend for years, can't believe I have turned my life completely around. People who run into me that I haven't seen in months don't believe it's me. New people in my life don't believe me when I tell them how I used to be." (Ohio)

“All praise to my Heavenly Father. Monday was supposed to be the day that the divorce that my husband filed was to be final. The judge dismissed it. The Lord had given me Isaiah 7:7,9b; 'It will not happen, it will not come to pass. If you do not stand firm in your faith you will not be able to stand.’ It is probably more accurate to say that these verses found me. God has shown me many of my faults in the breakdown of our marriage and all I want is a chance to be a servant to my Lord and a Godly wife. I am closer to God than ever, and that is the beauty of this trial.” (Arkansas)

"The last several days the Lord has been speaking to me through the radio and written devotionals. I have been discouraged because I haven't seen or spoken to my husband in a long time. Last night I called and asked him to come over and watch our ill daughter while I attended an event, and he did, praise the Lord, because I didn't think he would come over. I believe the Lord is working in my husband. I trust and believe that my husband will be home and the Lord will be glorified in a mighty way." (Oklahoma)

"A few months ago my husband was filing for divorce. Although I know the lawyer has the paper work ready for a couple of weeks, I still have not been served. I think the Lord is working on my husband's heart. I keep praying for him and for our marriage. God is faithful." (Montana)

"I been standing for my marriage for over a year and was served with divorce papers. I had to be in court May 10 for the first hearing. On that day, my lawyer called and said the date has been pushed back and that my wife didn’t set a new date. I thanked God for pushing the date back and not only back but there's no new date set. Our God is truly an awesome and faithful God. When I was served with divorce papers I cried out to God to show me a verse in the Bible to help me. He showed Psalm 34. I will keep praying and standing for my marriage and for God to change the heart of my wife who has been taken captive by the devil to do his will." (Alabama)

"During the time of our separation I have really grown in my walk with the Lord. My hubby is on staff at the church and though he is living a prodigal existence, when asked should they fire him, I told them to allow the Lord to work because his continuing to attend services will keep him around the Word and people of faith. Today in church, he sat next to me and talked to me. He even winked at me when I caught him looking at me. The Lord has been speaking to me regarding restoration of the marriage. I praise God for His movement and victory in my marriage." (State Removed)

"My prodigal and I are separated. I struggled with deciding whether to stand for or give up on our marriage. It was confirmed to stand by God leading me to the Rejoice Marriage Ministries website. Then the Lord revealed to me that He is pleased with my faithfulness, not to become weary in praying, to stand by my husband, that He is answering my prayer, but that some things need to grow first. Praise God that He even gives us signs of encouragement when we ask. I believe and am standing in faith that our marriage will be resurrected." (South Carolina)

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6

"Do not snatch the word of truth from my mouth, for I have put my hope in your laws. I will always obey your law, for ever and ever. I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts." Psalm 119:43-45

"Our daughter moved back in with her dad. She let me puppy sit her new dog. He wouldn't settle down. After listening to him whine, I sang Amazing Grace.  He settled down. When she picked him up, I found out she sings it to him also. Not only did God put a prophet's name on the dog, our daughter sings a godly song at the far country place." (Idaho)

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9
