“In all the messages you have sent, I have never cried until today. I opened the weekend email notice that you sent out in case you had no power. From in Australia, the hurricane you were about to get looked frightening, and I prayed for your safety. But when I opened the email to find that you had given us places to find encouragement if you lost power, I started to cry. And I'm still crying as I read this and have the most fabulous picture of the heart of a shepherd for his flock. That simple email today showed me in technicolor the heart that you have for us standers, and the passion you have to see God glorified through whole and healthy marriages. May God bless you both beyond what you dare ask, hope or even dream.” (Australia)

"May the LORD repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge." Ruth 2:12

“It's just amazing how God works. All this week I have been praying and praying for financial help, because I am in so much debt. I began to read my Charlyne Cares for August 11 and you spoke on exactly what was on my mind. I needed a word from God about my finances, and your devotional hit home with me. I felt like God was speaking directly to me, and telling me not to worry about my finances, and that He will take care of me and my daughter.” (Michigan)

"We had a miraculous weekend. My husband showed up from out of town at 1 A.M. to surprise his mom for her college graduation. God is moving mightily. He said his goodbyes to the kids and we left for church. When we arrived at a family house after church, my husband was still in town. We got to see God's message in action. Praise God." (Texas)

"After my prodigal and the other woman broke up, I have been his support, talk to him every day, and see him frequently. We are friends now." (Nevada)

We want Testimonies to boast of what God has done, not on what Rejoice Marriage Ministries has done. We do not use a lot of testimonials about our material, but your stand for a restored marriage will be helped greatly by books and tapes from the Rejoice Bookstore.

"One of the highlights of my week is receiving your Saturday Testimonies devotional. It's so encouraging to see how the Lord has worked in the lives of many standers around the world, some of whom are restored, meaning that a week prior, they were in the same place I'm in now. I've felt my spiritual eyes grow so much in the past month. I no longer fear the weekends, because they're now seem as quiet time for me to spend with God alone. I've learned to have the faith of a child when I see small miracles happen - miracles that others would deem 'coincidences.' Praise God, my day will soon be here. (Ontario, Canada)

"A month after my husband left, the Lord led me on a fast. The entire time, I was receiving so many miraculous signs, but the possibility of my husband coming home eluded me more and more. Although marriage is perfectly designed by God, I had to let go of the fight. The next day, my husband felt led to ask forgiveness from God and myself. We've been living for God for one month." (New Jersey)

"Praise God for His faithfulness even when I seem confused and somewhat angry about my cancer and my situation, God intervened with a miracle. My precious prodigal husband has been gone for years. He has not seen my children during this time. He came to town suddenly. My daughter came with my husband to visit me since I have been unable to travel because of my cancer treatment. We talked about the kids and old times. Then he did something that stuck with me. He kissed me goodbye. What a blessing. In my heart, I know that God will convict him and he will come home soon." (Ohio)

"My husband is giving me (the prodigal) a second chance. He is a wonderful man and great provider for our family. I left my family years ago and moved in with my parents and became pregnant with a child. My husband told me last week he will be father to this child and I can come back home. Only the Lord could have helped us in this situation." (Virginia)

"My husband and I are still separated, but we are best of friends. In a conversation last weekend, he let it slip that he sometimes watches Christian television. God is working on him. That was one of my prayers to God in the very beginning. Please bring him back knowing Christ. I didn't think my prayer was being answered, but He's working on that other side of the mountain. Praise God." (California)

"What the enemy meant for harm, the Lord has turned it around for good. My prodigal husband quit his job a month ago. God has given me strength to be supportive to him. Our son is being picked up after school by his father, instead of riding the school bus. I had been praying for God to send a positive influence to my husband, I believe that is our son. God has made me such a different person during this stand. One of the things we fought about was spending time with our son." (Kentucky)

"Each year Fish and Game sponsors a free fishing day for children. It was cold and rainy and the fish were hiding from us. Our son wanted to catch a fish like the other children. I prayed, asking God for just one little fish. When our son landed his little fish, he jumped up and down yelling, 'I won a prize, I won a prize!' God takes care of the littlest fishermen. I pray He lands another fish soon and brings him home to us." (Idaho)

"I had a meeting with my new pastor. I wanted her to pray for me. She confirmed everything God had already said. I praise God that He is speaking to my husband and that my husband is listening." (Maryland)

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

“I am singing praises to God for the miracle that has now taken place in my family’s` life. After five years my husband has returned. I know that with God we will be able to make the rest of the journey until we get to heaven.” (New York)

"I prayed for God to give me a sign. A few days later my husband mowed our lawn. Our lawnmower had been broken for months. I did not have the money to purchase a new one, but my husband got the old one going. This is a connection to helping his wife." (California)

"My husband came back for the Labor Day weekend. After praying for years, God is bringing him back. He is still not convinced about God's will for his life. I will keep praying and believing." (Texas)

"I received two miracles this week that I was praying about. First was money to help me pay my landlord and second was my precious husband sending me an email and ending it with love. He hasn't said that in a while and this was after I received divorce papers. Praise God. He does listen to His children. I have been praying that my husband would have a spiritual heart transplant." (Ohio)

"Recently God has promised me He will restore my husband's heart. God gave me the words to share that maybe it wasn't something missing in our marriage but in his heart, that something being God. My husband seemed to digest it well. Praise the God of restorations. I know He is at work and He is promising me the Godly marriage I've dreamed of." (Nevada)

"Praise the Lord, I received flowers and a cake from my husband on Mother's Day. It was totally unexpected. I'm sure God is in control." (Peru)

"My husband went to church with us on Sunday for the first time in a year. Praise God. He spent all day Sunday with us before going to the airport going back north. He normally leaves much earlier. He also fixed the door lock on our home. In spite of circumstances, God is softening my husband’s heart to come back home, in Jesus Name." (Florida)

"Yesterday, out of the blue, my prodigal husband decided to spend his visitation time with our son in my home, rather than taking our son with him as he always does. He even cooked us dinner and stayed long enough to put our son to bed. He commented more than once what a nice time he'd had. I am praying for my husband's salvation and for the restoration of our marriage. Glory be to God." (Texas)

"I have a friend who is a potential prodigal, but who follows the Holy Spirit's leading frequently to call me and talk her out of leaving her husband. She is having a great deal of trouble hearing from the Lord. Today, on her way home, right there in front of her, stuck in traffic was a Covenant Transport truck. She followed the truck for some time before she even noticed it was there. Not only was this a great encouragement to her, she also received a message from the Lord for me that my husband is on his way home sooner than any of us expect! Praise the Lord that with one truck He has revealed so much to both of us." (Colorado)

"I talked to my wife this week and she said she thought I was coming there for Thanksgiving. I had told her I would be spending it alone. I was shocked because we were not to see each other for another week after Thanksgiving, per our Separation Arrangements. I had prayed that God would put in her heart for me to be there to celebrate Thanksgiving with her." (Georgia)

"Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and my body with grief...But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, "You are my God." Psalm 31:9,14

"Praise the Lord, another small crack in the wall has happened. My prodigal contacted me today to take care of our dog. He had said when we divorced that I could no longer see the dog, but he was extremely nice in the email he sent me. I know this is only the beginning for God's miraculous restoration. Praise Jesus." (Texas)

"We have been divorced for years. In recent weeks, we have become closer. He is finally in the place I am, knowing that we are going to be together again." (California)

"After months of not speaking to my husband, we spoke for over an hour! My husband had said that he was filing for divorce last year. He has not done it! He says that he will go to counseling. I feel a joy I cannot explain." (Florida)

"When my husband sent me divorce papers I was devastated. My Christian life had not been what it should have been. Because of the jolt of those papers I began seeking God through His Word and through prayer as never before. That gave me a burden and a boldness to talk with my mother about salvation. Praise God, my mother came to Christ two months ago. Today my beloved mother left this earth and went to be with God. Through my tears I am also rejoicing. God used those divorce papers for good. I praise His Holy Name and cling to the promise of restoration." (Arizona)

"My husband was scheduled to fly out of state to finalize his divorce. There are two flights daily and his reservation was for the first one. Due to weather, it was canceled. He stood by for the second flight and it was canceled also. I got to pick my husband up and spend two more days with him, praise God. He is moving." (Maryland)

"In the past few weeks, God has changed my heart like I never expected. Through the power and hand of God, I am now living in the same town as my covenant spouse. I am also in the same church as he and his girlfriend, sitting in the same pew (by his request). God is moving and I believe that he will open (husband’s) eyes to the relationship he is in now and move him back to his covenant wife and children, who are praying and believing." (Texas)

"I was blessed by the Lord to meet a woman who talked with me and shared her story of standing. What she said is what you say many times. She will pray for us and talk with me, but the Lord is who I am to trust, praying and reading the Bible, standing on the Word, not the word of people. Any time she is led by the Spirit to share with me, she always tells me. 'You pray about this and listen to the Lord alone.' The Lord has blessed me in many answered prayers, and I know some day our marriage will be restored." (Texas)

“Saturday God led me to a couple who was selling a van. I prayed that God would intervene so I could afford transportation. The couple decided to break up the payments, so I could afford temporary tags and insurance. God has allowed me to speak at two different churches because of an article I wrote for the Cincinnati Enquirer about volunteers in local churches who host homeless families overnight. In this article I mentioned how I know God is with me through every trial and miracle. Praise God for His love and compassion for me, even when I feel I am not worthy.” (Ohio)

"My husband and I went out on our first date after being separated for years. I asked him if he would like to see the movie 'Fireproof' and he said yes. He liked it very much and was touched by it. I believe it is just the beginning for us." (California)

"I'm a recent stander and have had ups and downs. Sunday I was feeling hopeless and like giving up. While getting ready for church I said a prayer for God to let me know if what I was doing was the right thing. As I arrived at Church, the song being sung was "Better is One Day." The chorus struck me deep in my heart; 'Better is one day in your courts. Better is one day in your house. Better is one day in your courts, than thousands elsewhere." (Texas)

"My husband, who is a non believer, has taken a religion class online. He had to interview a pastor and chose our church. The pastor also used my husband as a reference during his sermon. God is so good." (Oregon)

"When my husband told me that he was going to get a divorce, it was almost a relief. I had been standing with my life in limbo. Now he would have nothing to threaten. I had peace and a determination to stand. God had other plans. On Easter my husband said he wanted us to start going to church together. Since then, issues at my apartment led to him inviting me to stay with him. We are in separate rooms, but we are under one roof, praying together and working on our marriage in faith." (Texas)

“I had given up and left our home. I was threatening to find my own place. My husband begged me to return and after much conversation, I agreed to try again for a while. After reading your Charlyne Cares column about standers who give up, I was convicted and am now committed to continue to pray for my husband and our marriage. My husband has agreed to go to a retreat for couples with troubled marriages and I am beginning to have hope for our family's future. Thank you for your ministry. It is often a lifeline for me.” (Ohio)

"My husband has now been away from home for two years. I give all praise to God that I still have so much contact and financial support from him. I also give praise for the fact that our three daughters have kept loving their Dad and have not closed him out of their lives. For the last two Sundays he has asked for us all to go to church, and God certainly had the message prepared. Both weeks were teachings from Nehemiah on the restoration of the walls of Jerusalem in relation to our lives. I know that God's Word was challenging my husband and that I have to just continue to trust God and that in His time I will be able to send the ultimate praise point; the start of total restoration.Thank you again for your daily encouragement via your devotions and the testimony of the work God has performed in your marriage. Praise the Lord." (Australia)

"My prodigal asked me to pray for him and thanked me for being patient. He is almost home, to God be the glory." (California)

"My prodigal wife of showed up at my parents for Thanksgiving today. She spent two hours visiting with my parents, children and me before leaving. God does take the heart of stone and turn it into a heart of flesh." (Washington)

"I turned in my seminary paperwork on Wednesday afternoon. I prayed if I should place my status as married and God led me to use married on the paperwork. Our divorce was granted the same day. God works all things for good for those who are called according to His purpose." (Florida)

"God is softening my husband's heart. Last night he came to get his mail. The Lord nudged me to give him a Christmas present I had saved for him and when he opened it he broke down in tears because of all that he's missing. We cried for an hour. It is getting harder and harder for him to move on, which I know is God speaking to him. Thank God." (Canada)

"My husband came to town unexpectedly last night. He kept two of our children with him. We went to my son's ball game together as a family, and my husband invited all of us over to his parent's tonight to celebrate my son's birthday. I cannot think of a better birthday present for my son than what has been happening today." (South Carolina)

“When my husband brought our son home (from Christmas) they brought me a gift from them both, a heart shaped opal and diamond necklace! This is from a man who divorced me a year ago. I know the Lord is using this for good and he will bring him home when it is His time.” (Kansas)

"Today my prodigal called me at work twice. He wanted to help pay the children's medical bills. Some of these bills date back without him previously offering to help. He had even called the hospital to find out about financial assistance for me." (South Carolina)

"I have never been as close to God as when I was standing. I saw no hope for my husband and me, but God is bigger. I am now back with my husband and life is good. At the brink of darkness, I asked God to give me a sign to show me if He really wanted me to stand. That same day I received a packet in the mail from Rejoice Marriage Ministries. It was my sign." (West Virginia)

"I decided to take a risk and called my husband and we talked for half an hour. I know God is softening his heart." (Kentucky)
