"Once again God has intervened and my final divorce hearing has been postponed. I had sat alone in the courtroom praying and reading my Bible for 45 minutes prior to that decision. Now I have prayed that God would speak to the lawmaster and our lawyers and that they would be obedient. The lawmaster decided she doesn't want to handle this case and it's been passed on to another lawmaster and rescheduled." (West Virginia)

"Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes, with your right hand you save. The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your love, O Lord, endures forever--do not abandon the works of your hands." Psalm 138:7-8

"We separated and I moved in with my mother to be able to support my wife and children. God changed me into a tither and has led me to again be a leader at our church. Our pastor supports my standing and would pray that he could know my wife better. This past January my wife accepted the position as our pastor's secretary. She has come back to church and is getting energized for the Lord. I know God is at work in our lives and am so happy that He allows me to be able to pray for my wife." (Pennsylvania)

"Come and see what God has done, how awesome his works in man's behalf! He turned the sea into dry land, they passed through the waters on foot—come, let us rejoice in him." Psalm 66:5-6

"Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD; O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy. If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared. I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope." Psalm 130:1-5

"My husband sent me an email card out of the blue. I had been praying to God to put me in my husband's mind. The card was about a man who had a dream that terrified him and in it he realized what his life would be like without his wife and in the end he thanked his wife, because of her he had love, happiness, and family in his life. It showed me God is working on my hubby's heart. This is a start and I praise God for it." (Indiana)

"Praise God, I see His mighty hand at work in my life and in that of my spouse. I never thought I would still be married today because of the circumstances, but God saw me through the very rough road and He is with me all the way." (England)

"I am/was a prodigal. I left my wife for another woman and married the woman in 1996. It has been a long and painful road. The Lord brought me to my senses in 1997. I did not feel able to divorce again, ergo 'two wrongs don't make a right.' I have been separated six of the seven years. I have drawn very close to the Lord and have only wanted His will, whatever that would be. I am scheduled to be divorced from my non-covenant marriage within a couple months. My covenant wife has not remarried, but wants nothing to do with me. The Lord has brought me to this point, it's one down, and one to go. I thank Him for the marvelous growth He has brought me through, and praise Him in advance for the miracle He has yet to do. I also thank Him for your ministry, which has been instrumental in my becoming a prodigal/stander. Praise Him." (Massachusetts)

"My husband and his non-covenant live on a main road that I have to pass nearly every day and I noticed that the big brick fence at the front of the house had collapsed. My daughter told me after her visit with Dad that they did not know why the wall had fallen down. It just collapsed in the middle of the night. I have been praying during my stand that the walls between my husband and I would come down! I noticed that the bricks had been piled up and I asked my daughter if Daddy was going to build a new wall. She said, ‘No, he's going to plant a hedge.' I have also been praying a hedge of protection around him, so this was, I believe, confirmation that God is hearing my prayers." (Australia)

"My husband shared that he has been in church for the last three Sundays and went to a Saturday night event at a local church. He still claims he wants to go through with the divorce. We were able to establish temporary visitation and child support. I can see God's work in his life even if I don't see his life style changing. Praise be to God." (Oklahoma)

"I thank God I saw my spouse for the first time in weeks. I'm thankful to God that my husband is kind to me, and that all of my material needs are being met. God, You are healing my marriage and bringing my spouse home and to You." (Florida)

"I would like to praise the Lord for the quality time He provided me with my husband today." (South Carolina)

"Recently in prayer with a friend I was encouraged that my prodigal is not my ex, even after all these years. Today my prodigal asked about church, something not talked about in years. Our hope is Christ." (Connecticut)

"Praise God, my prodigal made it to our daughter's birthday party. He said he wasn't going to be able to come, but made it at the last minute and had to fly across the country from where he lives. His heart was softened that day. God has amazing and perfect timing." (Florida)

"One of Charlyne's emails mentioned journaling, which I have done for years, specifically writing down prayer requests and answers. When I started to do that, I was amazed at how many answers I have been receiving. I know that God is saying, 'See Me answer all these small details, and know that I am working on the big ones.' One example is on a Saturday when my husband had the children, I prayed that he would not be able to see the other person after he dropped the kids off that evening. He mentioned that he had to go to work that evening. Praise God." (Canada)

"My husband was gone for years. Praise God a year ago my husband decided he wanted us to work on our marriage. Two months before he returned, the Lord led me to your website and I praise God for your ministry." (New York)

"Sunday I prayed to God to talk to my prodigal and send him to church. I asked the Holy Spirit to inform the pastor to speak of marriage and divorce. The service was almost over and in came my prodigal. The pastor started speaking of how destroying a marriage is worse then destroying a church. God is great and He hears us." (California)

"Praise God for His faithfulness. My prodigal wife forgave me after our separation and she rededicated her life to the Lord. There has been much rejoicing in my family." (Colorado)

"I stood for many months with no results. I received divorce papers in the mail and wanted to give up and move on, but God keeps telling me to wait on His divine intervention. God has a plan for us." (South Carolina)

“My husband called before Thanksgiving and we had a long and very wonderful conversation. Then he called again on Saturday morning to wish me the best with a test I had to take for school. He ended the conversation with ‘I love you.’ Praise the Lord, He is always with us.” (Texas)

“The past months since my husband left have been so difficult, but I would not trade them for anything, especially since I turned it all over to God two months ago. I had prayed that He would send me someone local that I could meet and pray with in person. Yesterday at the gym, I saw someone I know. As she walked by, I said hello and we started talking and I told her my husband had left me. She told me she and her husband had separated. As she was telling me this, I was praising God. I told her we could meet to pray and share scriptures and talk about restoring our marriages! We had a long talk and exchanged contact info. She looked like she was about to cry! God is so wonderful.” (Texas)

"I received a late evening phone call from my prodigal husband. He said that he needed to talk to me and was on his way over. Peace came over me and I knew he was coming over to ask me to forgive him for giving way to the enemy's deceptions. God has been diligent in restoring my marriage and this is the beginning of all good things in Christ." (Ohio)

"In a rage of anger, my husband had my cell phone turned off. Because it was in his name, I was unable to keep my number. I asked if he would call and see if they would put that number in my name. He told me no. Ten minutes later he called and told me it was back on and it was in his name until they could mail me paperwork to have it put in my name. He even paid the fee to have it turned back on, Praise the Lord, God is working on his heart." (North Carolina)

“When a marriage hits a crisis, the majority advise us to move on with our live. You have helped me to do this thing called “stand.” I had never heard of it and during the throws of being heartbroken and unable to think, not knowing what to do, my heart wanted to do something to work it out. Since finding your website with it's encouragement, I have learned how to pray and I am seeing wonderful Godly results.” (North Carolina)

"Our court date was postponed for the sixth time and now the Judge died this week. God is speaking and I am listening. I am standing on the vision." (Virginia)

"My anniversary was coming up and I had been praying that God would help me to make it through this special day without my spouse. We are separated and have little contact except about our children. Two days before our anniversary, my prodigal asked me if I wanted to go out with him that night. On that day I came home to find a box of roses on the front steps. I am so thankful to God for answered prayer. I know that he is working on softening my prodigal’s heart." (Colorado)

"I had an unexpected talk with my sons about their Dad and me. One thing that stuck out was that he does ask about me. Thank you God! Though our son does not like being put in the middle I apologized for that. Thank You God." (Illinois)

“You always say to consult God on what to do. I consulted God and He gave me a very wonderful dream. I have them very frequently, but this one specifically answered my request The Lord spoke to me in the morning and assured me that He is carrying me while my husband is unable to. He simply wanted me to know that I am safely being carried through this time and my husband is close behind. I am excited to know one day, my husband will come home.” (California)

Last of all I want to remind you that your strength must come from the Lord’s mighty power within you. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand safe against all strategies and tricks of Satan. For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies--the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world. So use every piece of God’s armor to resist the enemy whenever he attacks, and when it is all over, you will still be standing up. Ephesians 6:10-13 (TLB)

"My husband came by today to pick up the girls. He talked with me and when he was ready to leave, he wished me a happy new year and gave me a hug. Praise the Lord." (Alabama)

"God is so good. I received a call from my lawyer that our court date next month has to be cancelled. Thank You, God." (Illinois)

"O Lord, do not forsake me; be not far from me, O my God. Come quickly to help me, O Lord my Savior." Psalm 38:21-22

"I've always believed God would restore us after divorce. In the past month I found Rejoice Marriage Ministries and became to understand what it means to stand. I can't give up on God regardless of what my husband's actions say. My God is so powerful and I will continue to stand, as are so many others. God will restore my marriage. I have to continue believe He will do what seems impossible." (Indiana)

"I reluctantly showed up for the recent final divorce hearing, and to my surprise, there was no divorce. The paperwork was not complete. Praise God. I was thrilled and thanking God. It will take another two months for the papers to be finalized. I'm believing for a miracle. God is good." (Florida)

"Even though my husband stayed in close touch with me for all the years, I never had the first clue that he was so close to coming home. One day my husband came over and we starting talking about God. My husband was having a hard time sleeping at night. He said he kept feeling like he was almost hearing voices. I sent him home with some material. A few days later, he email me and asked about moving back home. He said he knew he had a lot of issues to work through, but knew he could do it if I would give him a chance. God's timing was perfect as we were able to celebrate our anniversary together." (State withheld due to ongoing nature of this restoration.)

"I have had very little contact with my wife. Lately my wife has agreed to stay at our family home with our children when I travel. The anniversary of our first date was approaching. After praying about this, the Holy Spirit told me to go ahead and leave a gift for my wife in our home. For that day, her birthday, and Christmas. When I flew home (wife) had accepted the gift and she sent an email thanking me. What a blessing from the Lord." (Canada)

"I prayed to Jesus that my husband would contact me on my birthday. Not only did my husband call to wish me a happy birthday, he also picked me up to have dinner. What an amazing God we serve." (Illinois)

"I love the Saturday Testimonies as they are a clear sign of what God can and is doing in the lives of so many standers. My heart has been burdened for prodigals and standers all over the world. I told God that if He would bring someone's spouse home every day, I would not complain or be sad about my own situation. I prayed this more than I prayed for my own marriage. I could hear God telling me that He would grant me my request, so when the Testimonies come and someone says that their spouse has come back, I rejoice and thank God. I have noticed my prodigal coming around more & calling just to say hello. Maybe God is blessing me because of my care for others." (Maryland)

"I can't express the timing and impact of a statement in 'Charlyne Cares.' Bob wrote, 'If you take down the mailbox, by giving up on a prodigal spouse, where will God deliver your returned prodigal?' What a powerful encouragement. Thank you." (Florida)

"My husband has been home for months. I realized after the new honeymoon that each and every lesson I learned while he was away has to be used in the new stand when he is back home. I was losing my focus on Jesus because my husband was so close I could touch him. As I re-focused on Jesus and started to praise Him in the midst of my despair, the natural circumstances changed so much for the better. I want to praise Him for His goodness and mercy towards us." (United Kingdom)

"Today my husband was suppose to pay for the divorce. Praise God, he didn't pay." (North Carolina)

"Praise God that divorce court had been canceled for the past five months. The court recently sent a letter scheduling divorce. I thought that this was the end this time. I cried out to God and He worked it out within minutes. The court called and moved date to next month. I praise and thank God for "being an ever present help in a time of trouble." God is so faithful and good." (New York)

"My mother passed away. I phoned my mother-in-law to tell her. She said she would see me at the funeral, which was many hours away. When I arrived at the funeral I saw my mother-in-law and father-in- law, but what realy surprised me was seeing my husband. We had not seen or spoken to each other in years. I was so touched that he came to honor my mother. I got the chance to speak with him and feel that the door to reconciliation for our family has opened." (Canada)

“God blesses us abundantly in the least likely ways and times. A beloved deacon at our parish died suddenly. He was special to me and to my prodigal. Last evening the viewing was very crowded and the line extended into the parking lot. When I walked out, my eyes met my prodigal's. To my surprise, he had come with his non-covenant to pay respects. Praise the Lord since my spouse had not come back into our church since our daughter was baptized years ago. God is truly working in our lives.” (Pennsylvania)

"Our eldest daughter married a few months ago. Our other daughter also just married. God's grace, favor and provision has been abundant. Both girls asked their Father to walk them down the aisle. God's grace was abundant and it was all good. Glory to God." (Australia)

"I praise God for this past Christmas. My daughter spent the day with her Dad, the only thing she had wanted for Christmas. Her birthday is also on Christmas and she has not spent it with her Dad since she was two years old." (Illinois)

"On Good Friday as I entered an intersection in my town a sign on the front of a auto repair shop read, 'Its never to late to repair a broken relationship.' God knew I needed to see that sign. I believe God was telling me it's never to late." (Ohio)

"My Lord has provided all my needs. I needed a car and He has blessed me with one after I lost my job and my credit had been shot. Praise God, He knows my needs." (Rhode Island)

"Our children have been seeing a Christian counselor since my husband left. During the counseling, the counselor also talks with my husband and I about things happening in our lives that are affecting the children. On this day the counselor was more matter of fact than usual and really told my husband about the long-term damage of divorce on children. My husband broke down and apologized to me for all the pain that he is causing our children and myself. I could really feel God's hand at work. I didn't know just how much at work it had been until I shared this story with my accountability partner and she said she had been praying for God to work on my husband. Praise be to God for what he has done in my family's life and for sending me an amazing accountability partner." (Texas)

"For everything in the world-the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does-comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever." I John 2:16-17
