“My spouse and I separated a year ago. We finalized our divorce in September. I truly thought that all was completely hopeless. I had made up my mind that I would remain alone from here on out. I came across Rejoice Ministries over the Internet. I began to read and pray the Lord’s Word daily. The Lord truly does work in His way and His timing. As of today, my ex-spouse and I are planning to be remarried very soon. We are in the process of trying to purchase a new home for all of us. All six of us are going on a family vacation together in April. Please keep all of us in your prayers. I need to say thank you God for putting the people in my life that you did, this includes both Bob and Charlyne and everyone’s prayers. The glory is truly all His.” (Ohio)
"My daughter was going to be showing the other person’s animals at a local youth fair. I prayed for peace and that I would radiate Christ. I was walking into a lion's den. The other person and his family were going to be there. I wanted to watch my daughter. He and most of his family didn't show up. My wife and I got the cow ready together and we spent time as a family. God, I know You had a hand in this." (Washington)
"Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me." Psalm 144:1-2
“I was driving and praying for God to soften my husband's heart, to restore his salvation and to bring him home to his family where he belongs. That same afternoon, I received a phone call from him about a dog that he had gotten and he wanted to ask me questions. Then the nicest thing he has said to me in 2.5 years came out of his mouth; He 'values my opinion.' He has tried every way he can think of to replace things we had in our home, but he is finding that it is just not the same. Praise God for bringing prodigals home.” (Texas)
"I wanted to share a praise report I've had. I have learned to not react when my husband says things to me. I've thought I was doing pretty well with showing love, but I am realizing I can do better. Last week at church there were items listed in the bulletin that some single mothers in our church were in need of, very basic things. I praise the Lord that regardless of my marriage situation, I have a modest but beautiful home and a husband who is diligent in paying child support. In looking at myself, I've realized that though I am very pleasant and agreeable to (husband), I am so anxious around him that I don't smile. That's going to be what I work on when we exchange the children. I am going to smile at him. I am praising God for the gentle reminders He continues to give me, that I am far from finished preparing my heart for a restored marriage." (California)
"I received a call from my attorney's office in regard to a calendar call. They wanted to know if I wanted to state that my case status would be 'Continued or Dismissed.' I said 'Dismissed.' I also heard that my husband is headed back to our state." (Georgia)

“What an awesome God we serve. On my birthday my prodigal husband came forward and wished me happy birthday, and also gave me a hug. It came as a total surprise to me. He also mentioned that he is trying to change his life and wants to spend more time with me and our kids. Thank You Heavenly Father for Your faithfulness towards us.” (Canada)
“At the beginning of my stand, I was on the computer every moment I had. I even used my time at work and my job performance suffered. No one noticed because I believe God took pity on me. I now print out your devotions and take them home to read during my quiet time. This also gives me time to reflect, digest and pray. My husband is leaving the adulterous woman and moving to his own place. He asked for two of my Christian CD's that I used to play when he first left home. Apparently he would hear them when he would come over and remembered them. This has been a long wait and I am grateful for all God has done in my life. Bob, you wrote about being a friend to our spouses. That came out three days after I asked God to show me how to be my husband's friend. Here we are, starting over as friends.” (Virginia)
“This past weekend, traveling home from Miami, I was feeling a little bit discouraged about my stand for our marriage. Then I remembered from other testimonies how people had prayed about seeing a Covenant Transport truck in order to affirm their stand. Almost immediately a Covenant Transport truck passed by me. I drove the rest of the way home with a smile on my face and hope in my heart. As I neared Orlando, my prodigal called and asked me to go get something to eat with her. God, for even when we least expect an answer, He is always faithful to provide an answer.” (Florida)
"Praise God for His faithfulness. This past year has been amazing. Although my spouse is not home yet, we went on a couple vacations together last year. My spouse stopped by on Thanksgiving day. For the first time since our separation we spent Christmas and New Year's Eve together. My prodigal has been coming around more often than ever before. I know that my spouse is on the way back to the Lord and back home." (California)
"This morning I listened to Andy and Sondra's testimony and ended up flat on my face, praising God over different things that she said. Please extend my thanks to Andy and Sondra for allowing God to use them to speak to all of us." (South Carolina)
"In the midst of searching for a place to live, paying off bills, and standing firm against the enemy, my Lord sent me encouragement that my prayers are heard and being answered. I have prayed continually for my in-laws to have their hearts prepared to hear the Word of God. Since my husband filed for divorce, I have not heard from them. At the Lord's prompting, I sent my mother-in-law a Mother's Day card and signed it with love. I claimed a positive response rather than rejection or hardness. Praise God, I received a thank you from her in the mail and she asked me to continue writing to her. God is working in her heart and is preparing her and my father-in-law to receive Jesus. The Lord is showing me that He changes even the hardest hearts. Through our marriage restoration, my husband and my in-laws will receive deliverance and God will truly be glorified and praised." (Arizona)
"My husband has called me three days in a row. Yesterday we talked for 30 minutes. Our conversations are getting more pleasant and sweeter every time." (California)
"My marriage has been restored after months of separation. Even though my husband became a daily part of our lives before Thanksgiving, he didn't want to come home until after Christmas. I didn't rush him but allowed the Lord to work on his heart and now he has moved back in and wants to become a member of my church. Praise the Lord." (New Jersey)
"My prodigal and I attended the final session with the reconciliation body where he stood firm in his decision to divorce me. He and I have been given the letter from the reconciliation body that would qualify him to file his divorce petition in court. I have yet to hear from his lawyers or himself. Praise the Lord. I continue to hold on to God's promise. (Husband) inquired about our son and I invited him to visit. I praise God that my husband still commits to paying for the house and he has given us a roof over our head. This is God's way of showing me that He still cares about my son and I. Praise God for His goodness." (Malaysia)
"Jesus answered, "It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4
"I gave my spouse a Father's Day card, along with a card from our son. I met them Sunday afternoon. The card I gave him was the first card my spouse read. I also gave him an ink pin that my church gave all the fathers. My spouse told my son it was a very good writing pin. On it is inscribed 'A Man of God.' I know God is dealing with my spouse and the Lord will do a miracle in our marriage in His timing. Praise God." (North Carolina)
"I was listening to Christian radio today. It a show about plans for a successful marriage. Just as the station grabbed my attention, I looked over and in the window of a store was the word 'Stand.' I knew the Lord was talking to me. Thank You, Jesus for always sending me words of encouragement." (North Carolina)
"Today I was able to ask my husband about his spiritual life because the kids are praying specifically that Dad would get saved. I praise the Lord that my children are faithful in prayer, and that my daughter is beginning to understand God's answer of wait. I know God's timing is perfect." (Virginia)
"Saturday I asked God to speak through pastors to preach about hurting marriages and when I went to church Sunday the pastor talked about his Mom. She believed in God and prayed despite mocking from his unsaved Dad who divorced his mother. God worked a miracle. I know God is in control of my marriage and restoration is on its way." (New Jersey)
"My husband and I are legally divorced. At Thanksgiving my husband and his mother did not include me in their family dinner. We even had an argument about time with our daughter. The week before Christmas my husband told me he knew we were still married in God's eyes. His mother invited me to dinner Christmas Eve and gave me a Bible with my name engraved on it. My husband gave me a nice gift with a cross on it. That night my husband's mother had a heart attack and as a result, my mom and my husband had the first peaceful conversation in months. I give praise to my God who hears my prayers and melts hearts." (State Removed)
"I have been praying for my sister's marriage. She called yesterday to share that God was revealing her husband’s past. We are believing God to heal her husband and restore their marriage." (Alabama)
"God has continued to bless me in giving me strength to endure and prayer partners who are willing to pray and fast for our marriage restoration. We were to be in court tomorrow for a final decision and it was canceled again. The judge has a conflict. Praise God that He is continuing to delay until His timing is right." (Illinois)
"It has been a long time since my husband moved out and divorced me. Yet, God has still kept his mail coming to our home and some of his belongings in our home! When I get discouraged and think nothing is happening, God gently reminds me that He can bring my husband home and sends another of my husband's letters to our home. God can restore this impossible situation." (Singapore)
“I have taken a stand for my marriage and the Lord is doing a great work in my husband. You showed me how to deal with the storms of my marriage spiritually, rather than how the world would do it. I was about to contact a divorce attorney when I found your web site. Instead, I prayed and fasted and I have indeed seen the true power of prayer. God has changed my husband. He took the blinders off his eyes. (Husband) really wants to be a better man/husband/father. I also am a changed woman and have grown so much closer to God. Even though I have experienced a lot of pain from my husband's unfaithfulness and absence, in a strange way I am grateful for the experience because I have truly found God because of it. Thank you for showing me that I must not stop praying for a hedge of protection for my husband and for our marriage.” (Florida)
"My husband filed for a divorce. As I am standing, I have asked God if he would reveal to me if my husband was missing me. I have had no contact with my husband for weeks. We spoke on the phone and through tears my husband said it hurt too much to see me. I am thankful for the phone call and I see God working." (Texas)
"I'm giving praise to God for my husband returning home. We started out slow, but now it seems to be getting less awkward. We still have a ways to go but I'm praising God for it. God is in control." (Idaho)
"My prodigal husband is home. He has said goodbye to the other person, moved out and made a clean break. We seem to be doing very well. He is very caring and treats me like a princess. We've had several special, sharing conversations. He told me of times when he thought of me, but felt he had messed up too badly to even call. He said if I hadn't kept reaching out to him in love he would not have believed I really forgave him. Nothing is impossible with God's help." (Virginia)
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
"On Father's Day my husband came to our home and spent the day with us. We had beautiful interaction as a family. He relaxed in 'his' chair and we laughed and shared as if he had never left. He had a difficult time leaving us. He pulled very slowly out of our driveway. Praise the Lord for a wonderful day. He has called several times since then. I know the Lord will be victorious." (Pennsylvania)
"Last Saturday our son was married. During their ceremony, I noticed them join hands, bow their heads, and on their own, first my son, then his bride praying for the first time as husband and wife. My prodigal was sitting beside me, and I silently thanked the Lord that (husband) was there, for God's faithfulness and answered prayer about my son and his bride, and for their witness to family and friends." (Arizona)
"My Lord has stopped mediation once again. It was last minute, but it was stopped. My husband says he wants this divorce but God says differently." (Georgia)
"After years away in the far away country and numerous false starts home, the Lord has brought my husband back. My circumstances seemed so hopeless but God prevailed, even if there is no home for him to come home to because my kids and I moved back to my parents' house. We now literally have to start from scratch, yet he still opted to leave the comfortable life he had in the far country. The spiritual warfare is even more real to me now, but I choose to rest upon the Lord." (Philippines)
My husband left me and went out of the country. We have no contact. Last night I was talking to a friend, wondering how God would speak to my husband if he does not attend church. My friend reminded me that my husband does not need to be in church for God to speak to him. Today what I read that Bob had written/ It was the same as my friend has said to me last night. This was the second confirmation to me that Jesus is continuously speaking to my husband. I thank God for that. (Australia)
“I know that God still has work to do in my heart and in my husband’s heart before our restoration. Sunday he came by the house. He was so proud of his new car, and took the kids for a ride and a trip to McDonalds. He talked to me and said how thankful he was that I cared for the kids all these years without his help. He invited me to lunch sometime soon. God is working on his heart. In our Lord’s time, not ours.” (California)
“We have been divorced since January. All during the separation and divorce, we have remained friends. God allowed this to happen for a reason. I was a drinker and was very mean on occasion. My husband fell out of love with me. God needed to bring me into His abode all alone. I had to turn to God and make a choice between alcohol and God. I chose Him, which was all of God's doing. It's been one year and two months since my last drink. My husband and I are becoming best friends. He has told me not get my hopes up, but I know God has a plan. Today we went out with friends. We laughed, hugged, and had a blast. God is showing both of us how to be friends and I have a new life in Him. He will bring my husband home in time, but right now I am learning to trust God and not my feelings. I am standing, waiting, loving my husband and my God with all my heart.” (Massachusetts)
"God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope offered to us may be greatly encouraged." Hebrews 6:18
"I want to testify to God answering our prayers. I had been praying regarding my anniversary coming up and asked God for any acknowledgment from my husband regarding our anniversary. In God's perfect timing, my husband texted me the day before our anniversary. What a blessing to go through my anniversary knowing that my husband is thinking about me. God is so good." (Virginia)
“God used me to help a coworker restore her marriage. I am grateful that He loves me so deeply to use me as His helper. I am standing stronger and at peace for my own marriage restoration.” (Ohio)
"My prodigal spouse and I had a deposition for a case not related to our divorce. We hadn't seen nor spoken to each other for months. During the meeting he quietly uttered, 'I miss you,' so only I could hear. After the meeting we spoke for 1.5 hours. He told me of how he's tried to stop loving me, but can't. It was a sweet conversation. Our settlement negotiation meeting for the divorce has been adjourned two times. I see how the Lord is working on our hearts." (Michigan)
"I have been out of work for months, have no money and unemployment is ending. I was praying that God would provide a way for me to pay my rent and buy Christmas gifts for the kids. My husband came by and I was able to give him clothing sizes for our children so that he could buy them gifts and clothes. I was able to be kind and to tell my beloved husband thank you. It's all in God's hands." (Oklahoma)
"I give God praise because He is good. No matter how low some days may be, He always pulls me out of the pit of despair and gives me hope when I need it. Praise God we are never alone." (Virginia)
"I was being attacked so heavily. God has been trying to get me to wait on Him and be still. Despite my emotions, consequences, and circumstances I continue to praise Him. Today after church, He blessed me." (Ohio)
"My wife invited me over for dinner and to spend July 4th with our children. I prayed on the way over and asked the Lord to show me the Holy Spirit at work." (Texas)
"Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this?" Job 12:9
“I moved to Florida to be closer to my parents. My prodigal is still living in Maryland, but I have heard great news. On Sunday, August 29 he attended the evening service of the church he grew up in and where we were serving when he walked away from the Lord. His mother and sister both related how touching it was that the current pastor and the deacons surrounded him during the altar time and prayed with him, hugged him, and showed him the love of God. Following the prayer time, all who were there that night filed by him, hugged him, and many verbally told him they love him. He also attended last Sunday morning, and more people continued to show him love and forgiveness. What a demonstration of God's love and forgiveness. I am continuing to pray that God will also restore our relationship in His time. I realize the hardest part is yet to come, but with God, all things are possible! I am also thankful to God that both my home and my parents were spared from the ravages of Hurricane Frances. Many around us have damaged homes, while we escaped with minor damage, Praise the Lord.” (Florida)
"God has used my husband to help meet many of my needs. My husband gave me extra money for our daughter above child support. He loaned his new car to me and even insisted I use it to go on holidays because he was afraid my vehicle would break down. My husband even went to church on Father's Day. Praise the Lord." (Canada)
"After months of my husband not contacting me or our children he wrote our daughter a letter. She was thrilled. We have been praying for their relationship to heal and it has, thanks to God. The following morning he called me and said he was going to finally help with our finances. Praise the Lord He is touching my husband." (Pennsylvania)
