Wives, in the same way be submissiveto your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives.Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.” 1 Peter 3:1-4

So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.” Genesis 22:14

“My husband left us but I thank God because He had prepared me for this. I have seen His glory and I know He is going to restore my marriage. We had not spoken for many months but now he can talk to me nicely and yesterday we went for dinner with the children. He said to me, ‘Don’t you have faith that the Lord will restore our marriage?’ I am leaving the rest to God.”  (Zimbabwe)

“I was feeling half-hearted in my stand when I came across the article Head Standing or Heart Standing? This article was clearly written for me. I praise the Lord that I read it. I prayed and after a two-week silence my husband called out of the blue. I promise from this day forward to stand with my whole heart. God heard and answered my prayer to hear from my husband and I know He is working mightily behind the scenes for my marriage. I know God is working all things - good and bad - for my good and my marriage’s good. Standers keep on standing.”  (California)

“I have been praying for the restoration of both of my daughters' marriages. Last year, the OW left one of my sons-in-law. This year the OM, in one of my daughters' lives, decided to move to another country. His parents are forbidding him to marry my daughter, and he is listening to their advice. I have four young people to pray for. God has removed two non-covenant relationships so far. I know he will remove the rest.” (British Columbia)

"I want to praise and thank our faithful God for all those standers who spent this Christmas day with their beloved prodigals. Those standers who would have been filled with joy yet trepidation and walking on egg-shells out of fear of saying or doing something that would upset their prodigal. To all you precious people know that I, and many, many other standers, who spent this day alone, were with you in prayer and spirit, cheering you on, praying for you and your prodigal and praising God for the precious gift He gave you of this precious day spent with your precious husband or wife. I hope and pray that today your marriage started the road to restoration. How you deserve it!"  (United Kingdom)

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”  Genesis 50:20

"They will not toil in vain or bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the LORD, they and their descendants with them. Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear." Isaiah 65:23-24

"I gave a testimony about my stand at my church. I had forwarded the link to my wife in the hopes that she would listen to it. When I asked her about it, she told me she had already seen it on my church's website."  (Washington)

"One day this week I shed many tears and called out to God that I wanted to give up my stand. Later that day I received the daily devotional 'Are You Struggling Standing...?'  I saw six Covenant Transport trailers in a lot. Never before had I seen one. I am holding onto His plan."  (Ohio)

“The LORD has been so great to me during this time of separation. He has been so faithful to me and answering my prayers. Every time I start to give up or grow weary God always speaks to me to remind me that I am doing what He has called me to do in standing for my marriage to be restored. He has shown my six Covenant Transport trucks...and each one came when I needed to see it most. God has provided for me in every way possible during this time and I am forever thankful. I really feel like my "suddenly" is right around the corner and God is telling me to just hold on a little longer! He is working on the other side, even though I cannot see it at the moment. But I trust my God and I will wait on Him. His timing is perfect and ALWAYS on time! I can't wait to post a testimony of my hubby's return! God is good. Amen!”  (California)

"Cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you." I Peter 5:6

"And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19

“I have been standing for awhile and have wanted to give up so many times but the Lord continues to give me the strength to keep going on this path. I have had no contact with my husband. Last week I experienced a suddenly. He came over to talk to me. I was able for the first time to share my heart and stand with him. The Lord has shown me the other side of my mountain. Nothing in my natural told me this would ever happen. All I've had is God’s Word and His promise to me with the support of RMM. I want to praise the Lord and say thank You Jesus for this miracle.”  (Alabama)

"The other night I awoke with the most beautiful voice speaking to me, 'You must remember that we serve a good God, in which He makes all things possible.' I couldn't ask for anything more as a confirmation from God. Thank You Jesus." (Idaho)

"I went up for prayer at church. As I went up, I asked God for a sign. Our pastor stopped at me and said I should keep turning my heart toward God and I will see healing, deliverance and restoration. I was excited." (Texas)

"My wife called to ask how to do something on her computer. I know the other person would have been furious to know she called me about it. A couple of days earlier I had noted in my journal a prayer for communication." (North Carolina)

Our anniversary fell on Thanksgiving. My husband received an anonymous card telling him to go to a certain restaurant. He showed up at the restaurant not knowing who this was from and they served him a meal that morning that I had already paid for. This was the same place we went on our first date. I had the restaurant give him a Happy Anniversary card. Thanksgiving night he wanted me to bring our daughter to his house. He ended up asking me to stay for three days. He is testing the waters on returning home, praise God." (New York)

“God is working on changing hearts. My estranged wife wanted some help from me a few days ago. It was God who was working in me! I made my best possible efforts to help despite the circumstances of estrangement and appearances in the court room. Forgiveness is divine indeed and may God continually guide my heart in His ways. The divorce application filed by my wife has had its final hearing. It looks like it is set for dismissal by the court. Praise and thank God for His mighty works.” (India)

“I have been receiving encouragement from RMM for many years and it's been such a blessing. I received a pamphlet that talked about the covenant of marriage when we were going through our divorce and I decided to stand for my marriage. I lived through five years of silence without hearing from my spouse, but God continued to encourage me to keep standing. I did ‘suddenly’ hear from my spouse and thought I had my restoration, but things don't always go the way we think. It's been three years since that suddenly, and we are now getting remarried! It's been slower than I thought, but God's timing is perfect. I am so thankful for the scriptures, prayers and encouragement. No matter how things look to us, God CAN and WILL do the impossible, if we keep believing. He is a great God!”  (Pennsylvania)

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." Hebrews 10:23

"I decided to stand for my marriage when my husband left us. I have no contact with him. He has filed for divorce. I was discouraged and so unsure of my stand but I recently found your Web site and have been more encouraged to stand. Several scriptures that God gave me over the past months have all been confirmed on your Web site. Your faith has fueled my belief that my husband is coming home! I can't wait to see how God heals us!" (New Mexico)

“My husband and I just renewed our marriage vows at our church last week. Four years ago it seemed impossible, but through God all things are possible. I asked the Lord to be the architect of our marriage and He is rebuilding us every day. Our marriage is stronger now because there are three - God, my husband and me. May I also add the real work starts when the Holy Spirit brings them home. Don’t give up your spiritual warfare; it's a battle and you must stand. God will do the fighting for you, because the battle is ultimately His. He only requires your diligence to keep standing because that's when the devil steps up his attacks. Stay strong in the Lord and He will make you a loving couple again. Be blessed.”  (Pennsylvania)

"For nothing is impossible with God." Luke 1:37

"I have been standing for my marriage since my husband left home. Today after no contact for weeks, and after receiving divorce papers, I received an email from my husband asking me to keep praying for him and that God is working in his heart. God is so faithful. Even when I could see nothing happening, He was at work in my husband's heart." (California)

"I will praise my Heavenly Father in spite of all things. The divorce was granted this week but God's promise still stands for a restored marriage. Every day my husband was here he wanted to spend time with me. We even had dinner as a family. My husband told me he misses me and the normalcy we had together." (Ohio)

“What an awesome God we serve. I just wanted to encourage someone that even when it's darkest God is still at work. I was reading someone's testimony about how they had to repent because of idolizing their stand. I asked God to reveal to me if I was doing the same. Realizing that my focus needed to be on Jesus and not my prodigal nor the circumstances, I got on my knees in repentance and, all glory to Jesus, soon after I heard a knock on the door. I was expecting our son from his basketball game. It turns out my prodigal not only showed up to watch his game but brought him back home after the game which he hasn't done since our separation. I believe this was God reminding me that even though the circumstances look bad, our awesome God is in control. All praise and honor to him. Stay encouraged standers. Weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning. Praise our Lord!”  (Indiana)

"Because he love me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him." Psalm 91:14-15

"God is so good. I had to get my things out of my prodigal's house and I was able to spend some time with him and even go out to lunch. My husband got to see Christ in me and hear about my belief that God is restoring our marriage. To God be the glory." (Ohio)

“I finally saw a Covenant Transport truck. I have been hoping to see one for weeks. I was driving on the road I live on that runs next to the interstate and had just said to the Lord, ‘It would be good to see a Covenant Transport truck,’ as I didn't think they ran in my area. Then out from under the overpass there it was and I felt my heart leap inside. PTL! He seems to give me just what I need, when I need to hear from Him.” (Missouri)

“I believe I had my first false start but this is a good thing! Two weeks ago my husband and I weren't talking at all. He shared some information with me and this started us talking again and opening up to one another. He has stopped by the house three times in the last week to fix things and we have talked every day for the last week. Although there is much work to be done and hurts to be healed, I believe God has used all of this to begin the restoration process. I am so grateful to God that He is faithful to me and has heard my cries. He has given me clarity and brought everything that was done in the dark to light. Hang on standers God is working and sometimes He works in mysterious ways.”  (Maryland)

"Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Remember, O LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old." Psalm 25:4-6

"I am rejoicing that even though my husband filed divorce papers weeks ago, I have not received them. Praise the Lord. I realize the spiritual battle is intense but my God has a plan and so it is as good as done. Because it is written that by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony the devil is defeated. I am rejoicing in the work that is done regardless of what I see." (New Mexico)

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."  Ezekiel 36:26

"My husband left me years ago and married another woman. Despite all, I kept standing and praying for him. I pray for the other woman too. I claimed all promises of the Lord on my marriage and my husband. Early this year, the marriage ended. Months ago, he contacted me and started rebuilding our marriage. Praise the Lord that He kept His promises and words. Thanks, Charlyne and Bob for this encouraging site." (India)

"For I hear the slander of many; there is terror on every side; they conspire against me and plot to take my life. But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, "You are my God." My times are in your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me." Psalm 31:13-15

“I just want to testify that OUR GOD is omnipotent and is EVERYWHERE! This season of my life has brought me closer to Him. I know that He is not a respecter of persons. Recently my prodigal said that he wanted a divorce, that his mind is split. He said he hopes I find a good godly man. That he believes I will be married to a new man soon. I thank God because HE speaks in visions and dreams. My husband was agreeing with me without knowing it. Yes, he is the godly man with a new heart and spirit that I will be married to until I die. Praise God that He is the God of the Impossible. Thank you, RMM for keeping me focused.” (New Jersey)

"PTL! God has been great to me in He has moved mountains to move my marriage restoration forward. The attempt to legalize a sinful relationship has been dismantled completely and he has asked to move home if he needed to. This past weekend my husband, son and I had our very first family vacation, and it was more than I had expected. We even had Bible devotion time.  I know that God is working in him. PTL!!"  (Washington)

"While I was praying for my husband, a song came into my head. I didn't remember all the words and I just started singing. I figured God wanted me to praise him in the midst of trouble. As the song unfolded, I found myself singing the words that God was giving me; 'Nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing, nothing is too difficult for thee.' I praise Him for all that He is doing and I trust Him." (Colorado) (A PS from Pompano: These are the moments that happen when we are alone with God. He is speaking and we are listening. Please note she was not in a chat room, nor did she email her online prayer friends for the words when this happened. If you are not doing so, please make time for you to meet in private with our Lord God.)

"Pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." I Thessalonians 5:17-18

“My husband left and filed for divorce on the same day; a few weeks after my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I have been praying fervently but the two situations have been overwhelming. Our first preliminary court date was canceled by the attorneys. The rescheduled date was four days from today. As the date got closer I became more anxious until today my prayers were just shouted sobs. I broke down and told God ‘I don't know what to do anymore, nothing is getting any better, are You still there?’ A few minutes later I received a phone call from my attorney telling me that she and my husband's attorney had both agreed to cancel our court date and request another reschedule because they felt I would not be able to handle court due to the additional stress of my dad's situation. God answered my shouted sobs and I know He is using the additional time to continue to work on my husband's heart. It doesn't matter if I know what to do because God knows exactly what He is doing.”  (Indiana)

“I have been standing for restoration for years and was about to give up. I felt God was not hearing me or possibly it was not His will for our marriage to be restored. I prayed for my prodigal to connect with our children. I felt my faith wavering as I have not seen or heard from him in almost a year. Today my husband called my daughter. Just him helping was a miracle. God showed me He has been on this journey along my side and is listening to my prayers. God will place and remove whatever He needs to in order for our family to be restored. He showed me it is His timing and not mine. He is faithful and He will defeat the enemy is who is whispering in our prodigal’s ears.”  (California)

“I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”  Jeremiah 32:27

“God has spoken to me many times during my stand, but I just had to share this. My husband was coming over to discuss some things with me. I was praying for the Lord to give me peace and strength during our conversation. I had the local Christian radio station on as I was waiting for him to arrive, and I heard a fellow stander call in. I had missed it, but apparently the DJ had recently prayed for marriages and those going through separation/divorce. She was calling in response and to encourage others. She quoted from today'sCharlyne Cares devotional about how God is working on the other side of the mountain even if we can't see it. I just felt this immense sense of peace come over me, and I knew that God was letting me know once again that He hears me and is at work. This peace carried me through the discussion with my husband, and I am just so grateful for the way God is using this ministry to support me during my stand.” (North Carolina)

“Today I was traveling with and my daughter and my prodigal spouse. On the highway, I prayed that God would send me a sign that encouraged me to continue praying for my marriage. I thought of the many Americans who saw Covenant Transport trucks. 10 minutes later we saw a truck on which was written in big letters: “The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall not want.” Praise the Lord!”  (Germany)

He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.  Isaiah 40:11

"I am currently standing for my husband who has left and said that our marriage is over. As our anniversary approached, I wanted to send a card but wasn't sure if I should. I prayed to God for a sign and then began reading 'Prodigals Do Come home.' The encourager at the end of the chapter was to select a card for your spouse. What an awesome God we serve!"  (North Carolina)

"I asked God for a real sign of my husband's love. On Mother's Day, my spouse called to wish me happy Mother's Day. He also gave the kids money to buy gifts for me. I was so happy and puzzled, but I know it was a direct answer to my prayer to Jesus. Our spouses are not too far off for God to reclaim them thru His Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ." (Maryland)

“so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11

"My prodigal contacted me after several months of no contact. I was by God's grace able to show unconditional love to him." (Illinois)
