Are you standing for the restoration of your marriage? A daily devotional that will offer encouragement from God’s Word as you stand for the restoration of your marriage.

Ask the Lord for a New Touch

One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon. Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.

Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. When all the people saw him walking and praising God, they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.  Acts 3:1-10

Have you been hurt and rejected by your beloved spouse? Are you on your knees begging for God’s love, mercy, and saving grace to touch your spouse who has fallen into sin? Are you spending time with the Lord daily? Have you become lukewarm in your prayers, not expecting the Lord to answer, because of your unbelief?

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.  Romans 10:17

The man who was healed had been crippled since birth. What a miracle that he was healed! This man was begging for money as he could not work, but instead, Peter and John changed his life completely. That is what the Lord wants to do for you. Do you believe in the power of Jesus? Don’t be a Christian who walks in defeat, despair, and depression because you do not know the mighty weapons the Lord has given you to defeat the enemy. God wants to reignite your love in your marriage and remove all the strife.

When Peter and John healed this crippled man, all the people were “filled with wonder and amazement at what happened to him.” When your spouse comes home, your family, friends, and church will be amazed at how the Lord touched and changed your spouse’s heart. Why are Christians so surprised at the power of Jesus Christ in changing people’s lives? That is why Jesus was sent to earth. Jesus Christ shed His Blood on the cross for all sinners to receive eternal life. God wants the world to see His mighty power in our daily lives. God wants us to praise and thank Him daily for His blessings and presence in our lives.

Ask the Lord to give you a new touch from Him. Has the enemy put bitterness, depression, doubt, and unbelief into your heart? Ask your Lord Jesus Christ to remove all doubt, fear, unbelief, unforgiveness, jealousy, and anger from your heart. Cry out to the Lord. Ask Him to make you into the man or woman He wants you to be. Ask the Lord to give you unconditional love for your spouse. Now believe that Jesus Christ will do it for you today.

Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’sPsalm 103:1-5

As you continue on your journey of spiritual growth and marriage restoration, I pray that you will realize the power in the name of Jesus. You may be hurting so badly right now that you feel you cannot even pray. You may not understand how you will survive your marriage crisis. May I remind you that your Lord is with you all the time. Call on Him, seek His face and His will for your daily life and marriage. I know from personal experience that if you can only utter “Jesus, Lord, Savior, and Deliverer, help me!” the Lord will help you or give you peace beyond understanding. Try it!

God bless,

We must not lose hope! We must endure and wait for God’s perfect timing. It is hard when the enemy kept bombarding us with his lies and negative words, but I need to stand firm and wait patiently for the Lord! I must believe that God will fulfill my desires and He will keep His promises!

It is so hard to not lose hope..yes & even through other Christians…what do you do when people say how your husband has free will? What are some of the promises & confirmations of how God has given you the assurance of marriage restoration? I have gotten confirmation after confirmation, but I am now facing a divorce & going to court against my husband for why I am asking the judge for marriage counseling that the judge would grant that to us, but my husband is trying to oppose..I did not expect things to get this far & this hopeless looking…

I’m trying so hard to cling onto God. His word. All the confirmations He’s given me. I don’t understand why He is letting things get this far. If He gave me the promise of a restored marriage… why it looks so hopeless & beyond that? I haven’t stopped praying or crying out to Him. I even stepped out in faith because He put a Christian attorney into my life who fights for marriages & the attorney requested a motion for the judge to rule in ordering marriage counseling without a hearing. My husbands attorney sent a response saying they oppose & object & request a hearing. I am so scared… my husband is a man of God & I don’t know why he is trying so hard to divorce me. Why God is letting it get this far. I thought I would’ve seen His intervention by now. I just don’t understand why He is giving me confirmation after confirmation, yet allowing things to get beyond hopeless looking…I feel like everything is against me. So now it’ll be me & my attorney fighting for my marriage verses my husband & his attorney fighting against…& then it’s up to the judge to rule & the scary thing is Florida is a “no fault” state. It really does seem like the odds are against me. I just crying out to God asking Him why?? Do I just give up on this & let my husband have his divorce? I’m fighting for what God ordained. What God honors…so I don’t understand. Do I just give my husband what he wants? This is all wearing too much on me. God is asking too much of me. I thought I was doing the right thing & so He would honor it. That His word wouldn’t return void. If He told me this is His battle & we know if it’s His battle & He never loses… then a lady last Sunday at church praying for me without knowing any details she said – this is God’s battle. This is His battle. So it seemed to confirm.
Then last night someone shared on the Bible app a scripture image & it alerted me.

The lord says – I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue & honor them. I reward them with a long life & give them my salvation. Psalm 91:14-16
I felt like when I saw it God was showing me.
When I woke up last night in the middle of the night a random YouTube video was playing. I put on the sermon Tracey shared about God knows what He is doing by Tony Evan’s & when it was over it played through other videos when I was sleeping but I woke up on this part!!! This exact part in Psalm 91. That’s just wild to me! Waking up in the middle of the night on that exact part!

Then I woke up today to the email from my attorney stating this from my husbands attorney-

I just received the following email from opposing counsel to the Judge. Unfortunately, they are within their right to file an objection, which will force the motion to a hearing.

We have just received this motion and would like to file an opposition/response to this motion and schedule it for a hearing accordingly.

I’m just so scared. They’re going to file an opposition & fight against my request for the
marriage counseling. I don’t understand what is happening. I’m just so scared. It makes me just want to give up & give my husband what he wants… : ( I don’t want to go through this.

Thank you Alicia. I just feel so alone. I wake up everyday to loneliness & go to sleep to the same & face the day alone & it just seems never ending. Would you be willing to talk with me? I really just need a friend. Someone going through the same thing as me & is standing. I don’t know how to stay strong when I feel so alone & like everything is against me.

Dear Makenzie,
I prayed about what you asked of me. There is no comfort I can give to you that is greater than what the Lord can provide. There is no peace I can give to you that is greater than the peace from Him. There is no advice or direction I can supply that is greater than God’s advice and direction. In this time of loneliness, rely on God to give you all of these things that only He can provide in great abundance. I am only a person and He is the Almighty. Greater is He living inside of me (and you) than he who lives in the world. I will keep you in my heart and my mind and pray for continually. With love, Alicia

I know but to just have a friend. Someone who can relate going through the same thing. I don’t know why I can’t just accept & believe everything God has shown me…why I keep doubting Him…I just find myself second guessing if God really is speaking to me & I don’t know why…I am sure you have seen my other comments …all my confirmations. To watch a testimony of a restored marriage where the wife received a promise from the lord & the video was called – A promise is a promise & then me to ask the lord if this is a promise from Him? To restore my marriage…& then the next day the devotion being called – A promise is a promise. on marriage restoration… these are the things I second guess or think that is just a coincidence…or maybe I am reading into it…or if it is a promise if I can miss it? If I can prevent it from coming to pass…or my husband can? These are the things I wrestle with & no one to really talk through with them except on here. & to the lord. It is just hard to stand on His promise & believe Him when it looks the complete opposite of that & that I am going through this alone. It is scary.

Thank you for your prayers. Maybe you are further along in this then me & that is why this is so hard for me…I don’t know, but I know you have to be able to relate to these feelings I am having.

Do you think it is a promise Sarah? From what I shared? Would something like that be a coincidence? To watch a testimony on restoration called – A promise is a promise & then that be the name of the devotion the following day – a promise on marriage restoration – A promise is a promise. If that happened to you would you think God was speaking? I just am struggling to really believe it really is God speaking to me & saying that. Telling me it is a promise. I struggle with believing He would actually reveal that to me…I don’t know why. Or because I feel not good enough to receive the promise..not worthy just like the lady who wrote that devotion felt too. it literally felt like it was for me & I could relate on every single level. Did you read that one?

& if it is a promise, that means you can’t miss it right? Like you can’t do anything to stop it from happening? I just have shared before but I get discouraged when people have said God may want it all day, but my husband has to choose…then would God give me a promise if that were the case? Can my husband interfere with a promise God is saying?
