Are you standing for the restoration of your marriage? A daily devotional that will offer encouragement from God’s Word as you stand for the restoration of your marriage.

Cry Out to the Lord

Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me. I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!  Psalm 66:16-20

Do you know how much your Lord loves you today? He is right there with you in the midst of your problems.

I understand the pain, rejection, and abandonment you have felt because of your spouse’s actions. Your Lord God is beside you, holding you up.

Ladies, let me speak to you directly for a moment. How do you talk to your husband? I have had more than one woman tell me that they would scream at their husband, hit them, or call their spouses names regularly. We will all reap what we sow. If you do not know the Lord today, Jesus died for you, and he desires to change your life forever. You may know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of your life, but you may be walking in the carnal or sinful nature. You can break the habits or strongholds that are now controlling your life. There is freedom in Jesus Christ. As part of your devotions for the next few days, please read Romans Chapters 6-8. Today, if you have confessed your sins, may you remember that your sins are forgiven and are under the Blood of your Lord Jesus Christ.

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.  Galatians 6:7

Men, have you been unfaithful, chatting with other women, or looking at pornography? You can be unfaithful to your wife while sitting at home. God knows everything you are doing. Today, confess your sins to the Lord and repent. The power of the Holy Spirit can set you free from every sin. Today, pray Psalm 51 as a prayer of repentance.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.  If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.  1 John 1:8-10

Despite all the circumstances you are going through today, pray continually and praise your Lord for His love and protection. Don’t allow the enemy to tempt you to sin because of your spouse’s actions or behavior. Beware of his tricks and schemes. May you always have a godly fear of the Lord.

Are you reading God’s Word every day? Commit to your Lord, dying to your own selfish desires or habits. You will be amazed how the Lord will speak to your heart, and the Word will help you learn to live a Christ-like life daily. The Lord will begin changing you, your countenance, your character, and your heart to become the spouse or parent you need to be for your family. Personalize this scripture below for both you and your spouse. You will reap eternal rewards for your tenacity and your faithfulness.

By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. Who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression. May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.  Psalm 19:11-14

What more could you pray for your spouse than to have their soul revived, having joy in their heart, and giving light to their blinded eyes? I urge you to read your Bible daily with a notebook to write notes and prayers to your Lord. May you always remember that your spouse is not sinning against you only, but first sinning against their Lord God who created them.

God bless,

Thank you Charlyne! Father we thank You for Your faithfulness.

Hallelujah for the cross
I would be hopeless without Your goodness
I would be desperate without Your love
Slave to the darkness if it wasn’t for the cross
