This movie tells the true story of Phil’s struggle with addiction, his run from God, and how God restored their marriage and brought Phil to repentance and salvation. You will hear how hopeless Phil and Kay’s situation seemed, but God!
This episode will encourage you to realize that nobody has gone too far for God’s grace.
I’m excited to see this movie but I also know it will trigger a lot of feelings and emotions that I’m not sure if I’m ready to feel. I grew up in a dysfunctional home where my parents stayed together but constantly fought each other and there was physical abuse I experienced. Then my husband left and divorced me too. So it’s s lot but I also hope to experience God’s healing in my heart watching it. If God can do it for them he can do it for me
I understand those feelings, Kris, having grown up in a similar environment. The movie is very well done, and I felt like it implied more than it showed, which is helpful for people who have lived through the chaos they are depicting. I do think the story will give you hope to be reminded that no prodigal is out of God’s reach.
