Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:1-2
Are you living your life like it is a race that must be run with “perseverance?” This race is a lifelong test of our faith, and we must run it with perseverance. The Lord warns us not to shrink back but to believe, live by faith, and know who you are in Christ.
Do you have faith to believe for your marriage to be restored? Do you have faith for your family members to be saved? You need to walk in faith, knowing that you may have times of suffering but your Lord is always right there with you.
God’s Word will teach you many important principles in learning how to stand firm in your faith for your marriage to be resurrected from the dead by Jesus Christ.
Paul wrote a letter to the church of the Thessalonians, and what he wrote is to encourage you on this Lord’s Day:
Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing. Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring. 2 Thessalonians 1:2-4
I pray you have deep conviction and passion to stand firm in your faith to fight against separation and divorce in your prayer closet. I pray that your family and friends know that you have a deep burden about all marriages that are falling apart and being attacked by the enemy who is a liar, deceiver, destroyer, and tempter. He is out to steal, kill, and destroy.
Jesus Christ defeated Satan, and we can walk in victory every day. Will you magnify Him today?
I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together. I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:1-4 NKJV
You are in a spiritual battle. I remind you of that several times a week. Remember who you are battling. Gear up and be ready for battle. Put on the Armor of God daily and use God’s mighty weapons. I get so excited when I see God moving in people’s hearts and lives. Yes, it may take time, but when it happens, you know that the Holy Spirit has spoken or touched someone’s heart because someone has been praying. We serve an awesome God.
Today, become a man or woman of faith to receive all that the Lord wants to do for your marriage. Miracles do happen, if only you believe and according to your faith it will be done. Start walking and talking in faith! It will take time, but start by taking baby steps, and you will become stronger in your faith every day! Here is one of my many favorite scriptures regarding faith:
“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” Mark 11:22-25
Faith is total dependence on God and willingness to do His will in your marriage. It is complete and humble obedience to God’s will and way in your life. That is saying, “Yes, Lord, yes, to your will and to your way.” Your tiny faith, as small as a mustard seed (they are tiny!), is enough for it to start growing and flourishing.
God bless,
