“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:7-9
God has a special word for you today. The Lord is saying to you, “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
What a promise for you to begin this new year. Ask the Lord, “What do I need to do differently this year?” Has this past year been a year of spiritual growth , or did you get off track on a detour road?
Are you being disciplined in your daily time in God’s Word and praying faithfully for your marriage and needs, as well as for others? Are you praying God’s Word in your prayers, personalizing them as you fight for your beloved husband/wife in your marriage? You are in God’s army, so you need to be equipped and use His powerful weapons.
In Joshua, it says to meditate on God’s Word day and night. This verse is saying that we must know God’s Word to live a Christ-like life. God speaks to His children through His Holy Word. One of the enemy’s tricks is keeping you so busy, tired, or depressed that you keep saying, “Tomorrow.” You need to spend time daily in the Lord’s presence seeking His wisdom, His knowledge, His will, and His directions for your daily life.
Only God can resurrect your dead marriage, rekindle the love and romance for your spouse and you, as He rebuilds your marriage on the foundation of Jesus Christ. Try it and see if God will not speak to you as you read His Word.
Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope. My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life. Psalm 119:49-50

These last few weeks have been difficult for many. Start today by spending time in God’s Word. Don’t just flip the pages trying to find one verse, but dive into a chapter or a whole book. There are so many truths in the Bible that will help you with your marriage problems
“Every word of God is flawless.” Proverbs 30:5
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Hebrews 4:12-13
Jesus is the answer to all your problems. He will speak to you through His Word. If only I had been reading God’s Word when I divorced my husband. I would not have made so many bad decisions or recognized that the advice I was receiving was contrary to God’s perfect will and His Word.
Are you pledged to a woman? Do not seek to be released… 1 Corinthians 7:27
Did you know that there are more than 100 million Bibles sold worldwide each year? The Bible consistently outsells even the fastest-selling books. There is no publication like the Bible, God’s Holy Word.
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. Psalm 119:105
Don’t give up on your marriage. You may be on a very rugged, rough road in your life right now, but allow God’s Word and the Holy Spirit to answer your questions and direct your footsteps.
“So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11
