Freedom for You and Your Spouse

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.  Isaiah 61:1

 What a promise! Do you believe in the Word of God? Do you believe that Jesus Christ has the answers for you and your marriage problems? Do you believe that your Lord God can free your spouse from being a prisoner of the enemy?

This Lord’s Day, I pray that you will never give up on fighting for marriages to be free from the enemy’s attack. Will you keep praying that your husband or wife will be set free from the imprisonment of sin in their life? Have you been set free from your bondages or despair? I want you to walk in freedom today regardless of the circumstances you are facing right now. There is freedom in Jesus Christ.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.  2 Corinthians 3:17 

Our family has always loved music. Let music minister to you. It can encourage you through a crisis. Have you heard of Eddie James’ song, “Freedom?” They sing, “No more shackles, no more chains, I am free.” I love the words. I awoke this morning and started praying and reading God’s Word when the song started playing rewind in my mind. It ministered to me, and that is my prayer for you personally and for your beloved prodigal.

Our Lord wants to proclaim freedom for your spouse and all prodigals who are living in sin. The Lord can set your spouse and family free. The Holy Spirit will set prisoners free from the prison of darkness where they live and are in bondage to many sins. God sent Jesus Christ to proclaim freedom for the captives.

There is freedom in Christ! Our Lord can heal the brokenhearted, the ones depressed or oppressed from the pain of separation, divorce, or rejection. Throughout the Word, our Lord God proclaims that there can be freedom from all the bondages of sin that are attacking you and your spouse today. What strongholds do you have in your family? Break the generational sins and strongholds. The Lord may have already revealed the curse that is being passed on from one generation to another. Your Lord Jesus Christ has paid the price. There is power in the Name of Jesus and in His Blood that was shed on the Cross at Calvary.

You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.  Romans 6:18 

Many prodigals say they have made mistakes in their life, and they do not see the way out. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. (John 14:6) It is never too late for freedom in Christ. Jesus can lead them out of their darkness into His Light of freedom and truth.

This is what the LORD says: “In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances, to say to the captives, ‘Come out,’ and to those in darkness, ‘Be free!’”  Isaiah 49:8-9 

Do not let the enemy discourage or defeat you with weariness, doubt, or unbelief. Are you ready to give up on the healing and restoration of your marriage? If you give up, what will you do? Are you going to settle for a counterfeit? This Lord’s Day, commit to stand firm and pray for your spouse forever!

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.  Galatians 5:1 

I pray that you will become an example daily, showing others that Jesus Christ can liberate everyone from their captivity by sharing and teaching the Word of God. Choose to be different and live a Christ-like life.

Let’s proclaim around the world, shouting against separation and divorce every day. Pray daily for reconciliation and restoration of marriages around the world. If we compromise, what will happen to marriages in your city? Let’s fight and pray for all the captives to be set free from the bondage of sin around the world!
