Happy Thanksgiving

Our family and staff wish you a blessed Thanksgiving! I want you to know that you are in our prayers today.

This may be a difficult Thanksgiving, as you may be hurting and deeply disappointed that you are facing another year without your beloved husband or wife at home. I understand your pain and sorrow. My prayer is that you will seek the presence of the Holy Spirit, who is with you today. Ask the Lord to be your spouse today wherever you go and pray:

Lord, I thank You for all that You have done for me. Please help me through this day. I will hold Your righteous right hand as You guide and direct my footsteps today. Please protect me from any discussions that will not be healthy for me. Be with all the standers and their children today, and may their beloved spouses contact them in some way, but thy will be done. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.  Colossians 3:17

We are praying that you will make this a special day for yourself and the Lord regardless of your circumstances. Thank the Lord for all He has provided for you and your family. I know of people who help churches or ministries to feed the homeless on Thanksgiving Day, and they have said they were blessed. You may need to spend some quiet time today with the Lord, reading His Word, praying, and even asking Him questions. God does speak, and He will answer you.

“‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’”  Jeremiah 33:3

Pray that all the prodigals will be convicted by the Holy Spirit to call home. Pray that the Lord will break down the many walls of silence or hostility hurting many families.

Pray that the spirit of unforgiveness will be removed from many families’ hearts and lives this Thanksgiving. May all the mistakes of husbands, wives, and other loved ones be forgiven and erased by family members.

Do you need to call someone and wish them a “Happy Thanksgiving?” It does not have to be a long conversation, but let’s pray that the Lord will start to heal many broken relationships. Let’s pray this Thanksgiving that many family members will be reconciled with hearts and lives transformed to be more like the Lord!

Lord my God, I will praise you forever.  Psalm 30:12

Our tradition was to go around the table and let everyone say one thing that they were thankful for. During that time, we had many tears and hugs. This year may you remember to thank the Lord for your salvation and all He has done for you and your family. We can pray for the restoration of marriages around the world but also the salvation and restoration of many extended family members.

May disobedient spouses leave their sinful lifestyle and be obedient to the Lord’s wooing and to His will. Just imagine the angels rejoicing in Heaven for everyone who is repenting and surrendering their hearts and lives to the Lord this Thanksgiving Day.

“I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”  Luke 15:7

God bless,
