From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.” Matthew 4:17
Resurrection Sunday will be here in a few weeks. Have you started praying about who to invite to your church services? We can all be lighthouses in this dark world as our Lord Jesus Christ is alive.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” John 3:16-18
We love to hear how God transforms lives after people have an encounter with Him. When you hear testimony after testimony of men and women who have seen the hand of God touching and delivering people from lives of sexual immorality, pornography, alcohol, drugs, and gambling, you will believe in the power of the Lord Jesus Christ. Nothing is too hard for God.
Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety- nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” Luke 15:3-7
God moves around the clock touching His children who have wandered off onto a detour road of sin and disobedience. He is also speaking to sinners who do not believe in God or others who think they do not need God. But God! He has a plan and purpose for their lives.
Pray that prodigals will repent and turn from their sinful lifestyle and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ for their salvation. Pray that the Holy Spirit will speak loudly in their ears to cause loved ones to repent and turn from their wrongful ways. May they call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ today.
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
Are you depressed, weary, tired of hurting, or feeling the pain of rejection and hopelessness this Lord’s Day? Have you surrendered your heart to the Lord? Do you know Jesus Christ as the Savior and Lord of your life? I pray you will humble yourself today, crying out to the Lord for His healing touch of love, compassion, mercy, and grace to heal your wounded, bleeding heart. He will help you right now in your time of need. God knows your deepest needs and your heart’s desires, so trust Him in moving some mountains in your life suddenly.
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16
God bless,
Thank you Charlyne! Father we approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Reckless love
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down, fights ’til I’m found, leaves the ninety-nine
I couldn’t earn it, and I don’t deserve it, still, You give Yourself away
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God
