Are you standing for the restoration of your marriage? A daily devotional that will offer encouragement from God’s Word as you stand for the restoration of your marriage.

Lord, Give Me Strength

Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me. I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!  Psalm 66:16-20

Do you know that your Lord loves you so much today? He is right there with you in the midst of all your marriage problems. I pray that you will seek the Lord daily to know Him in a more personal way.

I understand the pain, rejection, and abandonment you have felt with all the hurtful things your spouse has done. Your Lord God is beside you, holding you up and saying: Do not be afraid. I will never leave you or forsake you.

The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayers of the righteous.  Proverbs 15:29

I know that you may have caused some of your marriage problems, and you may have the enemy giving you a lot of guilt, shame, and condemnation. Both a husband and wife may fail each other. They do not often realize the consequences of their behaviors and actions. If you have confessed your sins, remember that your sins are forgiven and under the Blood of your Lord Jesus Christ.

Always pray continually and praise the Lord for His love and protection. Do not allow the enemy to tempt you to fall into sin because of your spouse’s behavior. The enemy will try this, so beware of his tricks and schemes. May we always have a godly fear of the Lord.

I pray that you will hunger and thirst to read the Bible daily. I hope you have already started personalizing different scriptures with your spouse’s name in them. If your spouse knew the Lord, pray that He will begin to bring scriptures to their remembrance. If your husband or wife has never gone to church, pray that the Lord will send someone to pray and minister the love of Jesus to them.

If you have not been reading the Bible, make a new commitment to the Lord, dying to your selfish desires or habits and choosing to read and study the Word of the Lord. You will be amazed at how the Lord will speak to your heart and how the Word will help you learn to live a Christ-like life daily.

The Lord wants a personal relationship with your spouse. He is grieving more over your spouse’s sinfulness than you are. God sent His only Son to die on the Cross for all sinners to turn them from their sinful ways.

Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth.  Psalm 34:11-16

I believe that if every prodigal spouse would fear God, they would not keep sinning. How many prodigal spouses, rebellious teenagers, or young adults live as if there are no consequences for their sins? Lord, have mercy on their souls. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

We can pray daily for prodigal spouses to confess and repent of their sins. May the Holy Spirit touch them and remove their hearts of stone, obeying the Lord as they turn their hearts and lives back to the Lord.

What a day that will be!

God bless,

Boxes
I’m leaping over a thousand fences
And running like a child in open fields
I’m leaving comfort to chase Your presence
That wind I felt before, I wanna feel

Amen and Hallelujah!!! I just loved this, “Always pray continually and praise the Lord for His love and protection. Do not allow the enemy to tempt you to fall into sin because of your spouse’s behavior. The enemy will try this, so beware of his tricks and schemes. May we always have a godly fear of the Lord.” I’m being tempted and the enemy is a liar. Need prayer. My husband is coming home soon. Thanks for your prayers! Standing strong on His word. God is able 🙌🏽God is faithful🙏🏽🤎🙏🏽.
