Lord, I Trust You

May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion.  Psalm 20:1-2 

Are you in a battle? Do you feel like the enemy is winning? Ask the Lord to speak to your heart. Cry out to the Lord in your distress. How often are you praying? When I am distressed, I say short prayers throughout the day. When you pray, talk to the Lord, tell Him all your problems, your concerns, and even ask Him questions. Then be quiet, listen and wait for His answer. God does speak, and He will answer you in His perfect timing.

“‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.'”  Jeremiah 33:3 

Today as part of your devotions, read Psalm 20. I pray it will encourage you. God will guide your steps and protect you from the evil one. God has put His Name on the line and as one Bible commentary said, “He also put His reputation as a Deliverer on the line.” (Liberty Bible Commentary) God will win your war. Believe in His mighty power!

“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.”  Psalm 91:14-15 

Before kings went to war, they always offered up their sacrifices to God. They promised they would put up their banners on the enemies’ forts in the name of the Lord. How many times have I prayed that when the Lord defeats the enemy in our family, we will shout it from the rooftops? I want to praise the Lord for all that He has done for our family. Yes, the enemy may try to keep attacking you, but God is greater!

Our Lord God is faithful. He will protect you, rescue you and help you in your trials and tribulations. Call on Him, and He will answer you. Trust Him as you wait and believe in His timing. He will win the war. Always remember to put the Armor of God on you and your family daily as in Ephesians 6:10-18.

There is victory in Jesus Christ. He has already paid the price with His Blood on the cross for every sinner. Get rid of all your doubt, unbelief, and fear in your heart. Believe in your Lord God, that He will win the war regardless of the circumstances in your marriage. Believe that there are warrior angels on the other side of your mountain of circumstances.

“Lord, the God of our ancestors, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you.”  2 Chronicles 20:6 

The Lord sees your tears, and hears you crying out in your prayers when you are in distress and when you do not know what else to do. Ask the Lord daily to open your spiritual eyes and ears so you can hear His wisdom, knowledge, and understanding as you read the Bible for His divine answers. You are not defeated. Jesus Christ arose and defeated the enemy. You can walk in victory! You are a child of the King.

During the greatest times of your distress, when nearly everything seems to be going wrong, and there is nothing else you can do to change your circumstances, your only hope is to call on your Lord God and place your life and circumstances in His Hands. Cry out to the Lord for His mercy and grace, asking for His divine intervention. Then be confident that your Lord God will answer your prayers, and He will never forsake you or your family.

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm!  Psalm 20:7-9
