Are you standing for the restoration of your marriage? A daily devotional that will offer encouragement from God’s Word as you stand for the restoration of your marriage.

Overcoming the Wall of Circumstances

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.  Ephesians 2:1-3

If you are a follower of Christ, at one time, you were spiritually dead, walking on the wrong path of life, accepting the world’s standards of morality, until the Lord opened your eyes to see God’s Truths.

This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile,  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,  and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.  Romans 3:22-24

The Lord Jesus Christ wants a personal relationship with you. He has forgiven you of your sins and wants to make you a new creature in Christ. You should want that same thing for your spouse.  That is what we are praying for today. Yes, I want to see your marriage restored, but more than that, I want you and your spouse to be in a right relationship with Jesus Christ.

But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.  For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 6:22-23

You are in a spiritual battle against the enemy of this world who is destroying marriages and families. We know that God is greater.

I hope you read our weekly Saturday Testimonies and see people who are opening communication, experiencing the process of healing and the restoration that is beginning in families each week. Our Lord God is faithful to the promises that He gives you. Never doubt the power of God.

What walls are you facing today? Are you battling a wall of fear, unbelief, hopelessness, or hardness of your own heart? Do not be afraid, trust in your Lord God. Stand firm and believe in the promises that God has given you for you and your marriage.

Do you remember how God parted the Jordan River for His people in Joshua Chapters 3 and 4? The next circumstance Joshua was looking at was the large Jericho wall. It was over twenty feet thick. How was Joshua supposed to destroy it? Joshua had a huge problem, but he turned his eyes to His Lord to see what God had planned to destroy the Jericho wall. The battle was God’s. Give God all your walls of circumstances. Let the Lord remove that wall of separation, divorce, the hardness of your spouse’s heart, and no communication, just as God destroyed the Jericho wall for Joshua and His people.

You may be living with your spouse, praying against separation, walking in unconditional love, yet daily facing walls of circumstances. God is able! Trust Him to speak to your spouse.

May you seek the Prince of Peace for yourself and your marriage. Seek and ask the Lord to give you a “Rhema word” that is a promise from the Lord. Now stand firm and believe what the Lord has spoken to you!

“I have seen their ways, but I will heal them; I will guide them and restore comfort to Israel’s mourners, creating praise on their lips. Peace, peace, to those far and near,” says the Lord. “And I will heal them ”  Isaiah 57:18-19
