“‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’” Jeremiah 33:3
Do you believe in the power of prayer? This may seem like an unusual question to ask. Is it a daily priority or something you try to fit in when time permits? Do you ever crawl into bed at night and realize you never spent time with the Lord?
“Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:12-13
Do you believe that prayer can change your circumstances through the power of God? He can resurrect your hurting or dead marriage by His divine power. We will only really know the power of prayer once we get to Heaven. When you prioritize quiet time with the Lord, you will better understand the power of His presence.
Let me share a scripture where Paul talked to the church in Corinth about going through some challenging times. He needed their prayers:
We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many. 2 Corinthians 1:8-11
God created us to have fellowship with Him at all times. Our enemy does not want you to communicate with God, who has divine power to calm storms, make mountains melt like wax, and change people’s hearts. Satan knows the power of prayer, so he does everything he can to make you doubt, battle unbelief, live in discouragement, and be too busy to find time to pray.
I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer. Show me the wonders of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foe. Psalm 17:6-7
Prayer is vital to receiving God’s blessings, power, and promises for you and your marriage. How would you rate your prayer life today? Do you recognize the enemy’s tricks that keep you from believing in prayer?
Your Lord wants you to talk to Him. One popular method of prayer is the acronym “ACTS,” which stands for adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication (or intercession).
I want you to believe in the power of prayer. How well do you know the Lord? When we pray, we get to know our Heavenly Father. We can thank Him for all He has blessed us with and share our deepest concerns.
Be joyful always; pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Do you believe God is moving behind the scenes when you are praying? I do! Every week, we see answers to prayer because husbands and wives are praying earnestly and seeking the Lord’s will in their lives. That is why we share on our Saturday Testimonies people’s testimonies of God answering prayers and moving in their lives and marriages. Our Lord God is meeting needs. Have you not received your answer to your prayers? Then let me remind you of a very powerful scripture:
Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. Luke 18:1
There is power in prayer!
God bless,

I must admit, sometimes I get the acronym backwards and pray confession, adoration, thanksgiving and supplication which is CATS. But God doesn’t mind. God bless all the staff and the standers!
In His love,
🙏
