Are you standing for the restoration of your marriage? A daily devotional that will offer encouragement from God’s Word as you stand for the restoration of your marriage.

Saturday Testimonies

Below are excerpts from a few of the testimonies we have received in the past week, each shared with the writer’s permission. These are not to tell you how to stand and what to do, but are given here to share how God moves when people are praying. Do you have a testimony to share to encourage others?

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.  Psalm 28:7

“I’m sending encouragement to fellow standers from the physical therapy world. I am a long-time stander who works in physical therapy. Recently, I had a patient tell me he fell off a ladder, while painting inside his house, getting it ready to sell. After discussing his rehabilitation, I asked him, ‘When you sell your house where are you moving to?’ He said, he is moving back in with his ‘first ex-wife,’ to her house, which means he has a second ex-wife, which means he left his second ‘wife!’ I said ‘Wow, that’s great!’ This is a 70-year-old non-Christian man. What he was really saying (but did not know) was he is leaving his unlawful marriage and going back to his lawful (covenant) marriage. Then a women patient told me that she was moving into her son’s house after her rehabilitation. She said her son’s wife came back to him after being gone for many years.”  (Michigan)

“The Lord is so good. I stand on so many scriptures that are relative to the covenant of marriage, one man one woman, married before for life. I was the prodigal; now my husband is the prodigal. In the past year, the Lord has restored my relationship with all his family. Several days ago, my husband asked me to pray for him over social media, which I did because the Lord has basically brought him to rock-bottom. Unfortunately, He is with a new other woman. But I am trusting the Lord to remove that relationship from him and bring him to full repentance. The Lord has also moved him closer to our daughter. While I was visiting our daughter, I bravely went to his home and knocked on the door. He was friendly and outgoing and we had a wonderful talk. I hadn’t seen him in person in many, many years. It was such a miracle; we even hugged. Mark 10: 8-9 (KJV)And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.”  (New York)

“There was a lot of pain and lack of faith when my wife’s second baby was born with the other man. It had been very hard, looking at the first girl my wife had had in her journey as a prodigal. During that time, I learned to love the little girl, to see her with eyes of love as Jesus Christ would. But the arrival of a male child was the most painful thing I could experience. We have two beautiful daughters, but not a son. Yesterday when I saw my wife sitting at the bus terminal, giving me my daughters for a few days of vacation, I felt so sad to see her. It had been almost a year since we had seen each other physically and she was carrying the new baby in her arms. When I bought tickets to go home with my daughters, I couldn’t avoid looking back, hoping that she would come home with us. There I realized that I still love her. God has placed in me that love that nothing can destroy and even though it hurts me, I must continue fighting for her salvation no matter what I see.”  (Mexico)

“After several years of standing, God has finally brought my prodigal husband back home. I am still praying for his salvation because he is denying God completely and still battling with addiction to drugs and alcohol. But the same God who brought him back will finish the work in the Name of Jesus. He was living with the OW, completely abandoned me and our children, and had a child outside of marriage with a different woman. I thank God for this ministry and all the encouragement throughout the years. Amen.”  (Pennsylvania)

…. being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.  Philippians 1:6

“My husband has been making small steps towards coming home. I got my Easter miracle and got to spend that whole week with him and our anniversary. He went back to the OW’s house and hasn’t been back since Easter. I’m trusting God’s Word and promise of Ezra 10:17and by the first day of the first month they finished dealing with all the men who had married foreign women. Prayers that he will file the annulment. God, move in power and seal this restoration!”  (Washington)

“Praise God that He was moving when I didn’t see it! Many years ago, I was the prodigal first, for many years. Then when the Lord changed my heart many years ago, my husband’s heart had hardened, and he left for an OW. After several months he came home but didn’t show me any love/affection. I grew weary, believed the lies of the enemy, and made bad choices, which delayed our restoration. The Lord got ahold of me. I began to believe again and continued standing for my in-house prodigal. I didn’t see any changes in him, and my heart was broken, but I decided to just lay everything down at the Lord’s feet and trust Him completely, no matter the circumstances. Out of the blue last week, when I was at work, he sent me a long text apologizing, and telling me how much he loved me. He said he cried all night and now he feels like a completely changed person and that he has let the past go. I had just recently started asking the Holy Spirit to be his Wonderful Counselor. God is faithful!”  (Canada)

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.  Isaiah 9:6

God bless,
