Are you standing for the restoration of your marriage? A daily devotional that will offer encouragement from God’s Word as you stand for the restoration of your marriage.

Saturday Testimonies

Below are excerpts from a few of the testimonies we have received in the past week, each shared with the writer’s permission. These are not to tell you how to stand and what to do, but are given here to share how God moves when people are praying. Do you have a testimony to share to encourage others?

Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, you his servants; praise the name of the Lord. Let the name of the Lord be praised, both now and forevermore. From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.  Psalm 113:1-3

“An amazing story has unfolded concerning my daughter’s neighbor. My daughter had a neighbor whose ‘wife’ was involved with another man and left him. The man was really struggling with this and asked us to pray for him. They had a teenage daughter together. As his ‘wife’ was divorcing him, my daughter told me he looked up his first wife on Facebook and found out that she was also in the middle of a divorce. We had no idea he had a first wife and that we were praying for the wrong marriage. He was married young and divorced young. He is now back together with his covenant wife after decades apart. My daughter said their new house is filled with their first wedding (covenant wedding) pictures. At just the right time, both were getting divorced out of unlawful marriages and God AMAZINGLY put this couple back together after decades and thousands of miles apart. ‘The LORD has done great things for them.’ Psalm 126:2.”  (Michigan)

“Recently I had the opportunity to attend the funeral of my beloved’s aunt in another state. I suspected that he would not attend and was correct in that assumption. However, I was stunned (to the point of literally gasping out loud) to see our adult son, who has not spoken to either of us in 10 years, appear. After service, a situation presented itself where I had to walk past him to get to where I was going. I acknowledged him, and while he rebuffed my motion for a hug, he shook my hand when I requested it. I told him it was nice to see him, and I was glad he could attend. My former sister-in-law convinced him to come to the family meal afterward. Though he sat far away from me and we had no further interaction, a spark of hope has been ignited in my heart. God has called us to a ministry of reconciliation, and I am here to do my part. I also sent a text to my beloved expressing condolences upon the loss of his aunt and received a somewhat friendly acknowledgement.”  (Florida)

“My one-year anniversary of standing for our long-term marriage was in April, as was our wedding anniversary. This entire year has been a brutal tearing apart of everything I have depended on from my husband and the only one I’ve been able to trust with my grief is our Heavenly Father. I kept waiting for my ‘promise’ verse, but the ones I kept seeing already held other meaning for me, so I just prayed, knowing that our God is a covenant-keeping God. I was dreading my anniversary and barely slept for crying through the night before. But that morning, God gave me Nehemiah 8:9-10. ‘This day is holy to YHVH, your God; do not mourn or weep… for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of YHVH is your strength.’ God waited a full year to give His promise to me, just so He could reveal it on our anniversary. If I had no one else but Jesus, He would be enough, but God confirmed that He set our wedding day apart for Himself and what He began, He is faithful to complete.”  (California)

“May I ask for your continued prayers as I stand before the roman tribunal giving testimony as to why I know our marriage of many years, resulting in seven precious and beautiful healthy children, gifts from the Lord to us truly, was, is and will forever be ‘valid’ in the eyes of God. Daily this feels like almost too much to bear but I’m praying, fasting, reading God’s Word, and depending on Jesus completely for this victory in Him. I’m currently looking for a job that would have me closer to home and my beautiful children who need mom and dad present to them. I worry so much about their faith making it through this trial of spiritual warfare. I only want to stand here holding up Jesus Christ for them to see Him truly and His power. That He is capable of doing anything and makes the seemingly impossible, possible. Prayers for this amazing ministry and the hope in Christ it shines for us out here struggling. God bless!”  (Maine)

“I am a long-time stander and have been a follower of Rejoice Marriage Ministries for many years. In the beginning of my stand, I became closer to God, and I felt like He was moving on my behalf. Lately I haven’t felt very close to God, nor have I felt like He is moving. Today, during my quiet time, I felt like the Lord was asking me to write a praise report and submit it to RMM. My initial thought was to say that I don’t have anything to praise about. But then I went back and re-read the two devotionals I had written previously for RMM, titled ‘When All Along It Was Me and ‘His Promises Are for Me.’ I was reminded about the good feelings I had previously and about the many promises God has made scripturally. Reading those devotionals reminded me that, although everything is not exactly how I want it to be, I do have much to be thankful for.”  (Missouri)

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

God bless,

Charlyne
