Charlyne Cares

Are you standing for the restoration of your marriage? A daily devotional that will offer encouragement from God’s Word as you stand for the restoration of your marriage.

Saturday Testimonies

Did your husband or wife leave for someone else? Charlyne has had personal experience with that particular marital problem. She can help you understand what you are facing and how to pray that the other person would leave quickly. This is a spiritual battle and you need to learn that the enemy is not the other person.

On this teaching Charlyne will share many scriptures to help and encourage you. She shares not only from her own personal experiences, but also from many scripture references that will help you to believe for marriage restoration even though there is another person involved in your prodigal spouse’s life.

Below are excerpts from a few of the testimonies we have received in the past week, each shared with the writer’s permission. These are not to tell you how to stand and what to do, but are given here to share how God moves when people are praying. Do you have a testimony to share to encourage others?

We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.  Psalm 33:20-22

“God will do the miraculous! He has restored my marriage. We have been together for some time now and it is better than ever. At times this was a very hard stand, but we are here now. I am still standing on the Word of God. We just bought a house and moved in two weeks ago. Trust God through the tears, pain, hurtful words and exchanges between you and your spouse. Read and meditate daily on God’s Word. He changed me from the inside out. I’m not perfect but I know how to war in the Spirit. Keep on standing for your marriage!”  (Pennsylvania) May we never forget the power of prayer and putting on the Armor of God, as well as praise defeats the enemy that we may face in our daily lives! Remember, God is on our side fighting our battles. – Charlyne

Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”  John 11:40

“Our daughter called a meeting with me and my husband to discuss her disagreement to our opposing stance of homosexuality with our son and his friend’s potential lifestyle. My daughter recently chose the God-prompted path to leave her ‘old’ lifestyle. We each had a turn to speak. When it came time for my husband to speak, the spoke of many biblical principles and of many perspectives that I have asserted in our relationship for many years that he never agreed to or followed. Now he is saying, ‘I am only learning this now…’ He also spoke of not worrying about his children choosing homosexuality because ‘like the prodigal son, he came running back to his father.’ He spoke so eloquently, sounded like a preacher! It was so heartfelt, I almost cried when he expressed one of his desires. The whole time, I was quiet, listened intently and whispered praises. And now today, when we invited him to church, he said, ‘next time’ as opposed to ‘no’ or ‘it’s okay.’ God is good!”  (Guam) The Lord is moving in this family! Sometimes, silence is golden as we pray privately with the Lord to knock down the walls of sin as the Lord’s timing will be perfect! – Charlyne

“Recently I was reading my Bible and went to set it down after finishing my chapter. I heard a voice say ‘Wait, I have more to say to you.’ So, I picked it up and started reading again. In that chapter was a promise that is so dear to me, and one I needed to hear again. Galatians 6:9 (KJV) – And let us not be weary in well doing for in due season we shall reap if we faint not. And it was just repeated in a video I watched. God’s reminder! Weary not, standers. Our God is faithful!”  (Nebraska)

“God gave me His promise. A fellow stander, as well as other people, has been helping me to pray. Last year I prayed several times and asked God to show me my spouse’s first name if He was going to bring him back to me. God took me into town and showed me the name on the side of a big, long bus stretching from the back to the front That same day He showed me the name on a street sign. In the following days, God showed me the name again on a building, on a biscuit wrapper that someone ate and dropped directly in the road for me to walk over, twice on my cell phone and across my television screen in the middle. I am still in shock. God has also been showing me his car license plate number everywhere and on everything. He is still with the OW, but I know God is bringing him back to me. God is good; He is faithful. God cannot lie.”  (Jamaica) Never forget the Lord does speak to His children as we seek to follow His will and way in our lives. Have you asked the Lord to show you a confirmation for your marriage restoration? God is your Heavenly Father and knows everything! Cry out to Him to show you are on the right pathway for your marriage reconciliation. God loves you, your wayward spouse and entire family so much! The Lord wants to increase your faith, hope, and trust in the Lord plans! – Charlyne

“Today, God gave me such encouragement! The teachings in church were about persistence and how we can keep asking because God loves us so much. He hears us in His mercy and wants to give us good things. (Luke 11:1-13, Genesis 18:16-33) Then the pianist played a song that we had in our wedding—’Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.’ I had to smile!”  (North Carolina) Thank You, Lord that you bless Your children by bringing back memories from the past that are so important to You and us! You are our constant Friend and Encourager! Praise the Lord! – Charlyne

“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”  Luke 11:9-10

“I am a recent divorcee who was and STILL is standing for my marriage. Due to a busy schedule, I was unable to cut my grass, which had grown very high. As I was mowing with my push mower, I began to get frustrated with the fact that my husband had left me and was not around to help. A man was mowing a field near me on a riding lawn mower. I prayed and asked God to lay it on his heart to come help me. A few minutes later, the man rode up and said he would finish my yard. In all of three minutes he was done. I asked him if he wanted anything, and he said no because the Lord laid it on his heart to come help me. On top of this, he knew my husband from a past experience. All I could do was praise God. For speaking to the man’s heart to help me AND for him knowing my husband so that if he sees him later, he can tell him that I had no other man at OUR house helping me while he was in the far away country. Thank God for the help and the witness of me standing! To God be all the glory!”  (South Carolina)

“I just want to praise the Lord again for restoring our marriage. We’ve been back together for some time now after several years apart. This ongoing miracle is such a gift to us, to our family, and our friends. There have been a couple of rocky conversations, but with the Lord now covering us they inevitably end well, with love, tolerance and understanding between us. Hang in there. On the bleak days and the angry days remind yourself that no tears or emotion can make you give up. God bless you and your miraculous marriage.”  (Australia)

Blessed is all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table.  Psalm 128:1-3

God bless,
