Are you standing for the restoration of your marriage? A daily devotional that will offer encouragement from God’s Word as you stand for the restoration of your marriage.

Saturday Testimonies

  • My spouse keeps telling me that they will never come home!
  • I am not a good enough Christian to have my marriage restored.
  • My spouse will never change.
  • How long must I wait?
  • I caused most of the marriage problems, so I don’t deserve to be forgiven.
  • This is too hard. I give up!
Are you thinking thoughts such as these? If so, you are not alone! In this teaching, Charlyne Steinkamp addresses one of Satan’s most powerful weapons used against your marriage: negative thoughts. These thoughts are used to dampen the positive events taking place in your marriage by causing you to doubt. Charlyne will teach you how to take authority over your thoughts, and speak God’s Word to counteract the negative, devastating, hopeless thoughts. With God’s help, you can win the battle over your mind and take control of your thoughts!

Below are excerpts from a few of the testimonies we have received in the past week, each shared with the writer’s permission. These are not to tell you how to stand and what to do, but are given here to share how God moves when people are praying. Do you have a testimony to share to encourage others?

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.  1 Thessalonian 5:16-18

“I’m a fellow stander and still in the learning process. I decided to stand for my marriage with so many people having so many discouraging things to say, which included myself at times. I had decided to do a fast. I called it a Jericho Fast because I said on the seventh day, I was going to call on God to show up. I had never heard the name Jericho Fast, but two days later a prayer warrior called me. I was telling her about it, and she said ‘Yes, God shows up big at the end of this fast.’ I was floored because I had no knowledge of something I was doing so I knew that God was speaking to me. After my morning walk around my house, I came back to read Joshua 6. In reading I saw the name ‘Gideon.’ I paused for a moment and then I was reading Judges 6 as I wondered what the message was God wanted to give me. I glanced at Verse 16 … ‘and the Lord said I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.’”  (Guyana) I had never fasted until after Bob left and I was desperate! There is divine power in fasting for breakthroughs! God is on your side. He hates divorce! – Charlyne

“My husband and I separated a few years ago. My world fell apart and, only as God can do, He put the pieces together and gave me the strength, love, and courage I needed. He told me to pray with my husband. Even when my husband didn’t want to, I would tell him I’m being obedient to God. Last year we had our suddenly and now I’m facing another attack from the enemy, with a stepbrother about real estate. But I rejoice and glorify the Lord because what the enemy meant for evil, the Lord has turned around for good. My husband and I are looking for our own property to buy. We are just starting the process, but I know God has already taken care of every detail! In Jesus’ Name!”  (Florida)

Who is like you, Lord God Almighty? You, Lord, are mighty, and your faithfulness surrounds you.  Psalm 89:8

“Many years ago, as a recently wed woman, I was in distress when my husband asked for a divorce. It took several months of prayers and many testimonies of encouragement from people and sites like Rejoice Marriage Ministries for him to come back several months later. Our marriage was truly restored. I had vowed to write a testimony but never did it. As I write this today, I’m in the same place again, something I didn’t see coming. But I remembered my vow to write about God’s blessings and give thanks for my marriage then and as I continue to stand for it now.”  (California)

“Recently I had been asking the Lord to confirm my stand once again. This past weekend I met by providence a total stranger whose spouse had just left them. Even the way they shared their story was unexpected, and definitely God’s doing. Our encounter was barely five minutes, but the Lord allowed me to show there is hope in Him. I was able to pray over and hopefully encourage them with some of my testimony. That God can make beauty out of our ashes. After, I realized this was the answer to my recent prayers of confirmation in my stand. If Jesus hadn’t gotten a hold of me many years ago and called me to stand for not only my marriage and my family but, more importantly, grow closer to Him, I wouldn’t have this message of hope for others. Thank You, Lord, for walking with me through it all!”  (Arizona)

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.  2 Corinthians 1:3-5

“I have followed this ministry since my husband left me several years ago, and I must admit that it has been years since I’ve posted, read, or followed this ministry since my divorce. Unfortunately, my husband was killed a few months ago. We were not on talking terms (his decision), and he eventually married someone else. But I will say that God has given me peace, reassuring me that I did all that I could do with His help and guidance. I am glad to have learned that he knew I had forgiven him. I was glad to learn that he saw God in me, and how much I grew into an amazing woman of God. Now, I only pray for God to give his family strength to better cope with his passing. I still believe God’s restoration for me in marriage. It may not have been in the way I foresaw it, but the reward is coming soon!”  (Tennessee)

“I have been standing for several years and have been growing so weary at times. The warfare has been increasing and I know it’s because my breakthrough is coming! The other day I read Mark 10:9. I have read this scripture plenty of times and even have it highlighted in my Bible. I always thought of ‘others’ (including the OW) not being able to separate me from my spouse, but I received a revelation that neither can our spouses separate us from each other! ‘No One’…this includes our spouses. Try as they might God reigns supreme overall, and this just encouraged me because I stopped giving my husband the power as if he was more powerful than God. God has the final say, so be encouraged! This battle may be tough, but we have the Creator of all things fighting on our behalf! Soon I will be writing about my restoration testimony in Jesus’s mighty name, Amen!”  (Maryland)

“Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”  Mark 10:9

God bless,
