Below are excerpts from a few of the testimonies we have received in the past week, each shared with the writer’s permission. These are not to tell you how to stand and what to do, but are given here to share how God moves when people are praying.
Do you have a testimony to share to encourage others?
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Psalm 51:10-12
“Many years ago, my husband walked away from home to be with someone else. They had a child. We tried off and on for several years but we lost each time. A few years ago, I heard from a trusted source, ‘Pray, love your husband and those two children like you love your own two sons.’ I was floored; but God. A couple of years ago, I gave up on my marriage but not my husband. God had told me He was going to bring him back to Him, and I believed. Still, I filed for divorce. Then my husband told me he was done with his behavior, was going to live on his own, face his ‘demons,’ and for the first time, fight for our marriage. I laughed – until I remembered the character of God. He called me to stand, He gave me a Word and He does not fail. We’ve been restored over a year. The transformation could only be divine. I gave up, but God didn’t. I am stunned by His faithfulness. My husband never received those papers; only God knows where they are. Fight on!” (Barbados)
“In waiting for many years, I have seen God move in mighty ways in the last year in my husband’s heart. We are not restored, but slowly I see it. He calls and we read the bible together and talk. Many times, he has said he loves me and always encourages me. At times, he pulls back and that’s discouraging, but I’m reminded of the tug of war that is present in his mind. Before he left, he was the music minister at our old church. Recently our old pianist has reached out to sing again with him. He accepted. Soon we all will be going as a family to church to hear him sing. I pray this is the moment the war ends, and he sees God’s will!” (Tennessee)
“Several years ago, I suddenly lost both my parents and few months after that I found out my husband had been having an affair. It’s like my worst nightmares came to life. I begged him to leave her but he said that he was not leaving her. I think that’s what broke me the most. I was met with insults and anger and I had to watch my husband leave for work knowing he is going to her. I still to this day do not know how I came across Your podcast (God is amazing) but I did and MY life was changed. There are so much amazing and terrible things that happened in between, but at the end God got hold of me and I was changed. even though my husband was carrying on, I was clinging to Gods Word and salvation.” (South Africa)
“I am praying for the vision God gave me of my husband picking me up at the airport when I fly up there this month. God has His timing but He brought this vision back to me so my trust is: ‘Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’” (California)
“I constantly question God if it is His will and is it possible for my marriage to be restored? God says yes! So, I asked God to show me signs. I have been divorced for several years and rarely see my ex-husband. If I call, he never answers. One morning I had a dream that he we were in the house together and my husband said to me, ‘Let’s go to church.” He had on a blue shirt in that dream. Well, lo and behold, within a month we encountered each other at a church event, and he had on a blue shirt. He greeted me very happily; we were able to talk briefly. Later that evening I called him. He actually answered the phone and we spoke briefly. God moves in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform! May God send more signs. I will continue to pray that the Lord changes his heart, and that our marriage can be renewed and restored. Lord, change me to be the wife and companion my husband needs. I am looking for a miracle every day.” (North Carolina)
It is my pleasure to tell you about the miraculous signs and wonders that the Most High God has performed for me. How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders! His kingdom is an eternal kingdom; his dominion endures from generation to generation. Daniel 4:2-3
