Below are excerpts from a few of the testimonies we have received in the past week, each shared with the writer’s permission. These are not to tell you how to stand and what to do, but are given here to share how God moves when people are praying.

As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? Psalm 18:30-31
“I found a letter my now deceased father-in-law wrote my husband and me on our wedding day many years ago. The letter reflected on how we dated briefly in high school and how they had continued to pray that he would marry someone like me. They were blessed that several years later I was, in fact, God’s answer to that prayer. As I read the letter, I braced for the line referencing us having children. I knew it was in there, but with my barrenness and my husband having two children with the OW, I knew his father’s hope that we would have kids would sting. Instead, what I found brought tears to my eyes: ‘Your marriage will be a blessing to others who will witness the love of Christ in your love of each other. One day, God willing, that love will be taught to children who will learn of God through you.’ The Lord knew what I needed to hear now as I pray for my husband’s return and having these dear children in my life someday. I may not be their mom, but I can still teach them about God and His love.” (Wisconsin)
“My husband and I have been married a few years and are currently separated. I was unfaithful and hurt him deeply. I truly regret the choices I made. We still love each other, but right now he doesn’t know if our marriage can ever be the same again. Through this separation, the Lord has changed my heart and showing me so many things I was doing wrong in our marriage. I have repented and surrendered my marriage to God. I’m praying and standing for restoration, healing, forgiveness, and reconciliation, and most of all that my husband will come to know the Lord.” (Colorado)
“My prayer is that I would open myself to the Lord Jesus to saturate my entire being and to work out all things that are not His desire or His way. I divorced my husband, and I’ve asked for forgiveness. Now I see the walls coming down in myself and in my ex-husband. He has opened up to me and shared his feelings, negative thoughts, intentions, and wrong actions from the marriage, and I’ve done the same. We’ve been more open to each other in the last few months than we ever have. I now realize that zipping my lips and going to God in prayer is the best way to work things out and let Him deal with matters.” (Idaho)
“I have to tell you how good God is. My husband and I have been separated for a few years now and the other night I had a moment with God where I just cried out to Him wondering if He truly was going to restore my marriage. I got honest with Him about my feelings, and I didn’t hold back my emotions to Him. The next morning, as soon as I got in my car to leave for work, the song ‘Honest’ by Leanna Crawford came on the radio. Then shortly after that, the song ‘He Will’ by Francesca Battistelli came on. A little later that day I saw a Swift transport truck, and I saw a work truck with my husband’s initials on it. Each word in the company name on that truck spelled out his initials. I said ‘OK God, I hear You.’ I thanked Him and praised Him for all of those blessings. Now I know that He was showing me that He intends to restore my marriage. All glory to God!” (Virginia)
“My husband and I have been separated for some time. I got a lawyer to file for a divorce. The lawyer sent me some papers to sign and have them notarized. I kept putting it off. I looked at those papers, and it seems like my chest got so heavy and I could not sign. That’s when I said I want to save my marriage. We started having small conversations earlier this year and we celebrated another anniversary. We have not moved back together yet. If it’s Gods Will, I am praying that everything goes smoothly with us buying a house and we will be reunited. This had to happen for God to get my attention and my husband’s. I give God all the glory.” (Georgia)
Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. Psalm 145:3

Though the time seems forever in God’s “waiting room”, we can assuredly know that He WILL answer – in His time and in His way. Praise God!
