Saturday Testimonies

Fasting for Spiritual Breakthrough_front

Below are excerpts from a few of the testimonies we have received in the past week, each shared with the writer’s permission. These are not to tell you how to stand and what to do, but are given here to share how God moves when people are praying. Do you have a testimony to share to encourage others?

Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.  Psalm 73:25-26

“I just want to say our God is faithful! Over the Thanksgiving holiday, my prodigal came to spend time with our family. All went well. My prodigal is planning a non-covenant marriage but I continue to cover our family in the blood of Jesus and the full armor of God daily. My God promised me restoration and wholeness. I’m not backing down or giving up. I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Standers, be encouraged! ABBA is moving in ways that we can’t see or imagine. Ephesians 3:20.”  (Georgia)

I have prayed many prayers and I can testify that God answers prayer. I called a friend of mine the Lord laid on my heart, to ask her to pray for me and my husband because he said he was leaving. We prayed in agreement that he would come home. Praise God, he came home shortly after.  (Michigan)

“The LORD also restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the LORD increased double all that Job had. Job 42:10 (NASB) One of the greatest hopes in standing for marriage is God doesn’t restore what was, He makes it new for His great glory. I didn’t understand this fully in the early days before my marriage was restored. As I grew more in my relationship with the Lord, I also learned the importance of praying for others. This seemed to ease the burden and pain I was in. I’m grateful the Lord keeps reminding me of this today after being restored several years now, the importance of praying for our brothers and sisters in Christ…and unsaved loved ones. It was also the sweet prayers of others for me that helped me in my own journey. With that said, I’m grateful God has continued to sanctify us in our restored marriage, working ALL things in the valleys and mountaintops. And I want to praise Him for giving us double children, a second restoration child, a baby girl.”  (California)

“God makes a way! I praise the Lord today even as I sit here missing my kids who are now with their dad. He made a way for us to share a few minutes today in our home while my husband opened his Christmas gifts. I feared he wouldn’t agree to come by. But God had it already worked out! I often wonder what his eyes see while he’s here. As he sat by the tree was it our family ornaments, family pictures still hung up, or our stockings all side by side? I know it’s not me, but God’s love and grace that will bring him home. However, my prayer is that these things show him he’s loved, missed, forgiven and always welcome in our home. With God’s strength I will continue to show love, pray for his heart to soften and praise our Loving Father for every opportunity He orchestrates. I was given Galatians 6:1-10 early in my stand. I will continue to stand on the promise given in Verse 9! Hard, yes…but not impossible!”  (Missouri)

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.  Galatians 6:9

“God spoke to me at the beginning of December, to tell my husband (via text) one thankful/appreciative/grateful thing about him daily until December 25th. I reluctantly but obediently accepted the challenge. Some days were harder than others to send him those text messages. Sometimes he would respond to them, most often he would not. Earlier last week, we had been in disagreement about some things and busy with some other things and before I knew it, two days had passed and I hadn’t sent the messages. Very early in the morning, I sent three ‘thankful’ text messages to my husband. He didn’t respond. Around 8 a.m., he was in my driveway to drop off a car for our son. He ended up staying the entire day and doing his work from home, ‘our home’. He hasn’t stayed in our home for more than a few minutes at a time in so long. I zipped my lips, treated him with kindness and of course the next day, I sent him a text thanking him for spending the day with us. God is still in control!”  (New Jersey)

“Amen and again I say Amen! I’m praising God for the blessing on Christmas Day. My prodigal was going to spend a brief amount of time with me and our children, but he ended up staying longer. It was a lovely family time. Praying the Lord will use the time we had together for His glory… despite the earthly circumstances my prodigal is currently in.”  (New Zealand)

“Despite a new girlfriend, my spouse came by to visit before Christmas. For the first time in a long stand, we shared a little from the heart. I don’t know how God’s way is and what His plans are for my life, but I know that I know: my God is the Waymaker, the Promise Keeper, the Miracle Maker. Only He can. Praise His name!”  (Netherlands)

“Several years ago, my husband had a child by another woman. I found Rejoice Ministries at that time, and I was led by the Lord to stand for my marriage, though eventually my husband filed for a divorce. I didn’t sign the divorce decree but the judge declared us divorced despite my objection. In the last many, many years, the Lord has done a transformative work in me that has surpassed anything I could have imagined at that time. Though my daughter and I have been praying for the other woman’s salvation and her now three children’s salvation along with my ex-husband’s relationship with the Lord, recently she filed for a divorce. My daughter and I have been a friendly support for my ex-husband – pointing him to the only One who can heal and helping him to pray for his wife. The Lord healed my heart so much that I can minister as a friend to the one who hurt me in the same way. Only God could do this in a heart!”  (Texas)

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.  2 Corinthians 1:3-4

God bless,
