Are you standing for the restoration of your marriage? A daily devotional that will offer encouragement from God’s Word as you stand for the restoration of your marriage.

Saturday Testimonies

Below are excerpts from a few of the testimonies we have received in the past week, each shared with the writer’s permission. These are not to tell you how to stand and what to do, but are given here to share how God moves when people are praying. Do you have a testimony to share to encourage others?

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.  Psalm 91:4

“God has used many wonderful people and various situations to restore my marriage in the past several years. My wife and I have gradually become best friends with each other. My marriage journey has also allowed me to learn about my other relationships in life. I’m particularly interested in reading testimonies that build our faith and encourage us to look upon His ways of loving and caring for us. I’m thankful for the helpful online resources from this ministry. Praise the Lord!”  (Australia) Praise the Lord that He is moving closer to total reconciliation! Be thankful daily for all that the Lord is doing in both of your lives. To God be the glory! – Charlyne

“My son phones me before going to school and, as his mother is around, we get to chat. Now that it is school holidays, there are no calls from my son or wife, so it has become so hard for me. I normally pay a sum of money every month but this month my heart started to harden towards her. I was consciously aware for the next several days of this fact and I eventually gave in and paid over the amount as I was reminded of ‘overcome evil with good.’ For the next few days, the enemy hit me with thoughts of how ungrateful she is; she can’t even say thank you. But I cried out to the Lord and repented before a friend and we both got the scripture at the same time. ‘Don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.’ The very next morning early, my wife phoned and apologized for not thanking me and said she appreciated my help. I felt a turning point. Glory to God.”  (South Africa)

“So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”  Matthew 6:2-4

“I was devastated after my husband filed for divorce and felt a burden to continue to fight in prayer through and even after the divorce. I was searching the internet for advice on this as my church’s response (to my surprise) was to let go. I came across RMM and was so encouraged by what I read on the website. It was a comfort knowing there were others going through similar experiences. Not long after engaging with the devotionals and prayer resources, my husband started showing interest in spending time together. He made it clear that it wouldn’t change anything with regard to the divorce, but he suggested putting the divorce on hold. When the words came out of his mouth, I could tell he could hardly believe what he was saying. He continues to insist it’s only to share time together and we will reevaluate in the New Year. We now text every day and meet around once a week, which is a miracle after previously only communicating about child arrangements.”  (United Kingdom) Praise the Lord! God is moving in another hurting and dead marriage! God hates divorce, so we all should also! Don’t give up! God needs only one spouse to surrender their heart and marriage to the Lord! Take hold of God’s righteous right hand and He will guide you on your Spiritual Journey toward your covenant marriage restoration! – Charlyne

“I’m a stander of many years with no contact for most of that time. To my knowledge, my husband filed for and was granted a divorce a few years back. Despite all this, God has kept my children and me the entire time. By God’s grace, we’ve never been homeless, even after losing our family home. I believed God was calling me to leave my job and relocate to the state where my husband lived, but I was scared and highly resistant. I didn’t know how I’d pay my bills and take care of my children if I left. But God knew. By God’s grace, and a lot of prayer, I left my job, sold everything, lived off my savings, and finally relocated. To my surprise, a family member had a room set up for me in their home when I arrived. Within a week, I had my own apartment which is a miracle in itself being that I was unemployed! My current job pays less, but my needs are met, and I have PEACE. My journey has been full of unknowns, but God has continued to keep me. For this, I’m both grateful and thankful. Glory to God!”  (Georgia)

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.  Philippians 4:19-20

“All praise, honor and glory to my Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior I am still standing for the restoration of my marriage. As I was reading the lunch break testimonies, I was reminded by the Holy Spirit that I had prayed long ago to be taught to love as Jesus loves. I do believe that this trial is to perfect in me that which I prayed for, agape love. My prodigal married the OW some time ago. I still have hope. My stand gets wobbly and at times fainthearted, especially when I take my eyes off Jesus and put them on my husband’s seemingly apparent happiness and contentment. I know my Heavenly Father sees me and my children. He has blessed us immensely. I had no way financially to buy gifts for my children nor have any sort of special Christmas dinner. Our church chose my family through prayer to adopt and gave us gifts and money. Glory to God!”  (North Carolina) Thank You, Lord for all the churches who You will open their spiritual eyes and ears to see the separated and divorced spouses and rise to the occasion to meet the variety of needs that they go through during their seasons of marriage problems. I pray that all the people in our churches will let their church office know of the needs of others who are hurting financially, sick, or alone due to be marriage problems or widowed. The church will be blessed abundantly meeting their congregation’s needs! To God be the glory! – Charlyne

“Our daughter was recently married. She doesn’t understand why I would want my marriage restored with her father. Her father and I have always chosen to get along when we have had family gatherings. He came to give our daughter away in marriage and brought the OW with him to the occasion. Our daughter didn’t want him to walk me down the aisle after the ceremony. However, he insisted, and was able to escort me down the aisle and also chose to stand by me during our family photos. I will continue to pray for his relationship with the Lord to be restored as well as our marriage to be restored. God’s grace is for all.”  (Florida) I love these praise reports that we are privileged to share and encourage you! I can’t tell you how many marriages we pray for that God’s peace be prominent and all strife, anger, bitterness, or bad attitudes would all be gone throughout the festivities of their rehearsal dinner and wedding day! This husband did what the Lord wanted him to do. Take his proper place for the entire wedding for the sake of his daughter and family! When we go to weddings, may our prayer be that everyone hears the couple’s wedding vows and may the Holy Spirit play it rewind to any hurting marriages or the ones who are divorced as God wants to resurrect, restore, and reconcile covenant dead marriages in ways that no one can imagine! – Charlyne

“My wife came by to pick up the kids, so they could go to their grandparents’ house to celebrate Christmas. I was dreading this and worried I would see her with her boyfriend and how I would feel and go into a downward spiral of emotions. I did everything I could to try and not look out the window and see anything so I could be left not knowing who or how they were picked up. Well, the dog tried to run out and I had to grab him, and I couldn’t help but see the driveway. They were picked up in his car. God is pretty amazing. Somehow, I did not feel awful at all. After several years of standing and divorce, I would have been devastated to see this before. God is with the broken hearted.”  (New Hampshire)

Praise the Lord. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him! The Lord builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiles of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.  Psalm 147:1-5

God bless,

Charlyne
