Below are excerpts from a few of the testimonies we have received in the past week, each shared with the writer’s permission. These are not to tell you how to stand and what to do, but are given here to share how God moves when people are praying. Do you have a testimony to share to encourage others?
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:13-14
“Several years ago, my husband revealed he’d been involved with a co-worker for the past several months. I was devastated, and when our attempts to fix things ourselves weren’t working, I went and had an affair of my own and really made a mess of things. For some time, we struggled with trying to work out our problems but only dug a deeper hole. The ‘other people’ did not want to accept our decision to stay together and kept trying to return to our marriage. We separated and then later moved 200 miles away in a last-ditch attempt to save our relationship. But it only seemed to make things worse, and we soon separated again. I became very discouraged and was begging God to let me out of the marriage. I was weary and just wanted to be done. I found Rejoice Marriage Ministries on the internet. I never knew there were people called ‘standers’ and I began to have new hope! We found a church and a prayer ministry and slowly began healing. We have been completely restored for many years now!” (Minnesota) Praise the Lord! What a powerful testimony of restoration! Please remember to share your praise reports in our Saturday Testimonies and positively your marriage restoration! You never know when your beloved spouse will reach out to you suddenly! – Charlyne
“Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.” Jeremiah 32:17
“I finally get it! It’s about Jesus! And it’s about MY relationship with Jesus, and my heart changing to become more like Jesus. And it’s an HONOR and PRIVILEGE to love my spouse and show them Jesus! I have learned more about Jesus the past several months than my whole life. I’m so grateful! Will you pray with me for my eyes to be opened and enlightened to what the Word says as I’m reading? I really do want to do life God’s way! I had no clue how far off I actually was/have been this whole time. Thank you for your ministry and your prayers!” (Canada) Will you join me in praying for this dear stander who has found our Lord Jesus Christ who will change their life in every aspect forever! Praise the Lord! That is our mission and goal at RMM! – Charlyne
“Standers stand strong and solid in the Lord! Cut through all the other worldly voices that want to deceive you and convince you out of your stand. Cling to Him alone. Seek Him and His Kingdom ways first, read His Word, pray, study, be patient in this trial. He IS working!! Our testimony will be a mighty one that will bring Him so much glory! Please know that I am out here standing, growing, waiting, and praying. And there is more HOPE now than ever before because of how I’ve surrendered this. I am completely and totally walking with Him now and my life has new beauty. Focus on growing and strengthening your relationship with Him while you wait. Figure out who you are in the eyes of your Creator. get to know Him like never before and let Him lead you. This is how you bide your time while you wait for your spouse…. abiding in HIM!” (Maine)
“I battled addiction for many years, from pills to alcohol. I had tried to get clean more than once, rehabs, meetings, and Celebrate Recovery. None of that helped, believe me. I tried and tried. My marriage was on the brink and my kids were about to get taken from me. I thought I was done. One day I went to stay with my mom to dry out and my sister invited me to a revival going on at her church. I went one night even though I reeked of a bottle of alcohol. But I still went. That second night forever changed my life, and I laid on that altar and surrendered. God truly had broken all my chains and turned my life around. I was someone who I truly didn’t know, and God made me whole again. I left that altar with no cravings and withdrawals. That is the truth! Our God is powerful.” (Tennessee) There is freedom in Jesus Christ! I pray that you know that personally. May this encourage you to pray for salvation and a deliverance for possibly a family member, co-worker, or a friend! The Lord will change their life forever! – Charlyne
Your ways, God, are holy. What god is as great as our God? You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples. Psalm 77:13-14
“My children and I have been separated several months now since my husband left our home. I know God is working because there are still no divorce papers and lately he’s been coming by the house more to pick up mail and to entertain a few of his friends. I do as I was told months ago, and I don’t talk to him. I stay in my room when these times occur. God has used a sister in Christ to help me along this journey as well. Praise the Lord. I thank Him and I thank RMM for encouraging me every day.” (Florida)
“We have been separated for some time. My heart was shattered and there were months I didn’t know if my health would stabilize due to the agonizing pain. My walk with God has grown exponentially during this storm, but grief still comes in waves. It has been longer than I can remember when my husband showed me any signs of hope or love. A week ago, we spent time together with our daughter at her college. I was both confused and overjoyed when my husband sat next to me and was intentionally attentive to me. Later that day, he messaged me several times checking on me to see if I made it home safely. And then there was ‘the email.’ An email that showed hope to my earthly eyes and showed the hand of God. This email was vulnerable and courageous. He wrote that it was an honor to spend time with me that day and how he wanted to share that and more before his courage ran out. I fasted the following day so I could reply with a Spirit-led response. Yesterday he invited me to join him at his church. Hallelujah!” (Illinois)
“This journey has been long and painful, but I know God hasn’t abandoned me. I have seen his hand in so many areas of my life and I am eternally grateful for all He has done and is doing. After a couple of years of separation, my divorce hearing is now scheduled this month. I feel defeated and my heart aches, but I accept God’s will for my life and marriage. Thanks to this painful situation, I established a relationship with God and have been changed completely for the better. Please pray for me and my family. I cling on to Jeremiah 29:11. I know God better and He is using this situation for my good.” (Massachusetts)
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
