Saturday Testimonies

YOUR SPOUSE AND THE OTHER PERSON

by Charlyne Steinkamp

Below are excerpts from a few of the testimonies we have received in the past week, each shared with the writer’s permission. These are not to tell you how to stand and what to do, but are given here to share how God moves when people are praying. Do you have a testimony to share to encourage others?

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”  Mark 11:24-25

“Hallelujah! I feel like a new person, and I thank the Lord for that. At first, I thought it was my husband who needed change. But we both needed change and to heal our hearts. This process was like a roller coaster – bumpy ride but I’m glad I stayed on course. Not only is God restoring my marriage but restoring relationships with my parents, my siblings, and my children. I have been spending holidays and special days with my husband. My husband isn’t home yet but we do spend a lot of time together and talk more. We are coming around each other’s family. That brings joy to my heart because I hadn’t talked to his family since this process, and he hadn’t come around my family. Praise God for all He is doing. I wait for God’s perfect time.”  (Texas)

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”  Isaiah 43:18-19

“After several years and a non-covenant baby, there are moments where hope persists. A few days ago, speaking with my wife, she gave me a Word about Daniel in the pit of the lions and how she saw me like that, like a Daniel where God would glorify Himself. I had told her about my work and that my boss, along with someone who wanted to occupy my position, made my life impossible. After my wife told me about her Word from Daniel, they fired the person who wanted to steal my position. But the most beautiful thing is that after many years, I could hear my wife speak of the Lord and share a powerful Word with me. I had years of not hearing her speak of the Lord with such power. A week before, I heard the Lord tell me that next week I would see something very powerful in my wife. Although I hesitated to see it, God surprised me. Don’t give up!”  (Mexico)

“My ex-husband is calling me more often. I never expected a call from him to wish me a Merry Christmas and to my surprise I not only received one phone call but three. God is good! We are romancing each other after several failed relationships and him being married to the other woman for many years. Thank You Jesus!”  (California)

“This morning I praise God again that He led me to RMM. The hope and encouragement I receive here is from God using standers and prayer warriors like you and me. Through my stand, He’s given me reminders that I may be the only one praying for my husband and loved ones. I must never stop. Recently, one of the Charlyne Cares devotionals read, ‘I am especially grieved for some Christian families who had once turned their lives over to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Then the enemy came in subtly and swiftly to steal, kill, and destroy their marriage, family, and reputation.’ My son and daughter-in-law have been going through the divorce process for years now and this Christmas they have put an end to all the divorce proceedings and are working things out! But God! Nothing is impossible for Him! Keep praying!”  (Florida)

“Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”  Jeremiah 32:17

“During an end-of-the-year fast, God told me my ex needs deliverance. I had been praying for restoration of our marriage and God allowed me to know he needs deliverance before restoration. I spoke to my ex-husband and told him what God said. He is learning that God truly cares for our wellbeing. After a fast, we had a watch night service, and he came with me. All praises to God. My husband was resistant at first to the atmosphere but as prayers went up, God began to soften his heart. He partook in the foot washing service with the other men, even though he was set on that he would not. God softened his heart. and I believe before this time next year my husband will be delivered.”  (Illinois)

“I’m a long-time stander and I am blessed that for all those years he is in the far country, he spends holidays with us. He tells me he loves me and we also text and call daily. This year my niece got married. It was a destination wedding and while he couldn’t go for the entire time I was there; he arrived later and joined my family for lunch. At the wedding, the Priest spoke of love, the covenant of marriage, trust, and fidelity. He’s eyes watered and he held my hand. We danced at the reception. It was a lot, and I am so grateful to the Lord. It is true, ‘For nothing is Impossible with God’.”  (Texas)

“Before the New Year I was fasting and praying if I should stand because my husband entered into a non-covenant marriage. Then I chose to watch Adrianne and Shon’s Restoration Testimony. Now it makes sense to me why God showed me two rainbows in one day after fasting. God did not ordain the new marriage my husband is in. Mark 10:9 (NLV)‘Let no one split apart what God joined together.’ God showed me the first rainbow to remind me He hasn’t broken covenant. God chooses who is in the Covenant and God can fight for me. I will wait to see how God can bring us back together because He is for us. If God is for us who can be against us! I am also praying for my husband’s salvation. Then he will be a new, godly man. We can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthen us.”  (Florida)

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.…. What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  Romans 8:28, 31

“I was praying fervently for the restoration of my marriage. Nevertheless, I was served divorce papers earlier this year. But I thank God that instead of being broken and devastated, I am at PEACE! I also thank God that I have no debt and the children are adults, making the separation less burdensome. I just feel in my spirit that God is going to fix my husband’s heart to return to HIM first and back to his family. My stand continues because I know God is more than able. I’ve seen God work! To God be the glory!”  (South Carolina)

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.  2 Corinthians 9:8

God bless,

Charlyne
