Are you standing for the restoration of your marriage? A daily devotional that will offer encouragement from God’s Word as you stand for the restoration of your marriage.

Seek God’s Peace

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal. Isaiah 26:3-4

You may not be feeling very peaceful today. Don’t forget that God is still on the Throne and in control of our lives. Allow the Lord to be your Rock and your Deliverer today.

I know of many people who have had to go through marriage problems, but as a result, they turned their hearts to the Lord Jesus. If you are in a storm today, He wants to give you His perfect peace. Let Him be your rock.

I love you, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies. Psalm 18:1-3

Today as you prepare to worship the Lord, remember to pray for your husband’s or wife’s salvation and their obedience to the Lord. Also, remember to pray for both sides of your family who do not know the Lord Jesus. Your prayers are vital.

The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16

My prayer for you is to seek God’s perfect peace while going through the ups and downs of marriage problems. When your life is in turmoil, strive to keep your heart and mind turned to your Lord in prayer, walking in faith. You need to know that the only One who can move or change your impossible circumstances is your Lord Jesus Christ.

Believe in His power.

You can be faithful to the Lord, even if you do not see the mountain of circumstances moving yet. The Lord showed me the scripture below. It confirmed that I had to keep waiting on Him to touch and change Bob’s heart.

I will make peace your governor and righteousness your ruler. No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise. The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end. Isaiah 60:17b-20

Dear stander, don’t give up on your spouse. God knows and sees all. Trust Him to touch and transform your beloved’s heart in His perfect timing.

If you have children, I understand how hard it is to parent them alone while not exposing your spouse’s sin to them. Show your kids who Jesus is. Your children are seeing the power of the Holy Spirit’s conviction of commitment and tenacity that you have as you pray and wait on the Lord Jesus Christ to break through the walls of sin for their father or mother. What love you are showing them! You are believing in the power of prayer and trusting in your Lord God to bring back their mom or dad. Nothing is too hard for our Lord.

All your sons will be taught by the LORD, and great will be your children’s peace. …”See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to work havoc; no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD. Isaiah 54:13, 16-17

What a promise! Today, choose to remain steadfast and faithful to your Lord. He will give you peace during your storm. He is your Rock and your Deliverer.

God bless,
