Are you standing for the restoration of your marriage? A daily devotional that will offer encouragement from God’s Word as you stand for the restoration of your marriage.

The Lord Will Take Care of You

Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.” Joshua said to the priests, “Take up the ark of the covenant and pass on ahead of the people.” So they took it up and went ahead of them. And the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, so they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses. Tell the priests who carry the ark of the covenant: ‘When you reach the edge of the Jordan’s waters, go and stand in the river.’”  Joshua 3:5-8

A miracle for the Israelites was on its way! The Lord had told Joshua to get the people ready to cross the Jordan which was at flood stage all during harvest. Joshua had to believe what the Lord was speaking to him. He had to choose to obey the Lord God.

Do you believe what the Lord is speaking to your heart regarding your life and marriage through His Word? God wanted His children cleansed inwardly and outwardly. The Lord wants us to be guided by the Holy Spirit. He wants us to live a Christ-like lifestyle and surrender our hearts and lives by putting Him first.

Restoration takes two willing people, but it only takes one spouse who will stand up and fight for the marriage to start the process. I pray you will forgive your spouse and not allow anger or unforgiveness to destroy your Christian walk. God can heal and rebuild any marriage if you turn your life over to the Lord Jesus Christ.

God was telling Joshua that He would do amazing things before him and His people. Oh, that is my prayer for you today. I pray that our Lord God would do amazing things, supernatural miracles that only He could orchestrate for you and your beloved spouse.

Joshua remembered what God had done for him before. May you never forget what the Lord has done for you in your past. Write it down in a journal book to keep forever. Share it with your children and grandchildren. Pull out your journal and reread it, reminding yourself of God’s hand in your life. Praise the Lord for what He has done and will do now in the midst of your Jordan!

So when the people broke camp to cross the Jordan, the priests carrying the ark of the covenant went ahead of them. Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zarethan, while the water flowing down to the Sea of the Arabah (that is, the Dead Sea) was completely cut off. So the people crossed over opposite Jericho. The priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord stopped in the middle of the Jordan and stood on dry ground, while all Israel passed by until the whole nation had completed the crossing on dry ground.  Joshua 3:14-17

God saved His children again, a whole nation. May you never forget God’s faithfulness for His children. He wants to part the Jordan that you are facing today. God wants to conquer your enemies so that they will be no more. The Lord wants you to walk on dry ground, knowing that He is preparing to do an amazing miracle for you and your loved ones to see.

When the whole nation had finished crossing the Jordan, the Lord said to Joshua… “Go over before the ark of the Lord your God into the middle of the Jordan. Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’ tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.”  Joshua 4:1, 5-7

God asked Joshua to build a memorial. God wanted to remind His people to always remember to put their focus on Him. This would remind them of who would be their guide throughout their life. I pray that you never forget to tell others the stories of your past miracles of what the Lord God has done in your life. These stories and testimonies will help others believe in the power of Jesus.

You are making a memorial in your home by standing for your marriage. Do your children know how the Lord called you into standing for the restoration of your marriage? Do you share answers to prayers showing them your Lord’s faithfulness? Today, choose to start sharing answers to your prayers to others for God to get the glory!

I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.  Psalm 89:1

You can share ways God has moved in your life by submitting a testimony. I can’t wait to read how the Lord has been moving in your life!

God bless,

Thank you Charlyne for this reminder of God’s faithfulness. Father help us stand firm for restoration of our marriages knowing how this will bless our children and our future generations. We declare in Jesus Name that we and our families will serve the LORD (Joshua 24:15)

Remember

If You broke through the oceans
You can break through these chains
If Your word made the mountains
It can move them all the same
If death fell before You
And it’s still on its face
Then the power that raised You
Is about to move again
