Instead of turning His face from me, Jesus met me in my lowest moment. He revealed who I truly am in Him. He showed me why He loves me so deeply, even when I fall. He also opened my eyes to how the enemy targets our vulnerability—not just to tempt us, but to attack and distort our identity.
Have you ever asked the Lord, “Who am I to You?” Have you ever tried to understand your identity—not by the world’s standards, but by God’s truth?
For years, I never did. I simply believed the lies whispered by the enemy: “You’re not enough. You’re a burden. You shouldn’t have been born.” These lies clung to me from childhood, reinforced by silence or criticism from those who should have spoken truth—my family, my church, even my teachers.
Maybe that sounds familiar to you too.
These false identities don’t magically disappear after we get married. In fact, they often follow us into our marriages, influencing the way we see ourselves, love our spouses, and receive love in return.
But here’s the beautiful truth: God never left us—not for a moment. In His mercy and grace, He continues to pursue us, protect us, and patiently wait for us to return to Him, to hear His voice above the lies.
Do you want to know how God sees you? Let His Word remind you:
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” Jeremiah 1:5
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
“So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:31
“You are precious and honored in My sight, and I love you.” Isaiah 43:4
“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you.” John 15:16 (AMP)
These aren’t just verses. They are God’s declaration over you — your true identity in Christ.
Ask Him, “Lord, how do You see me?” “What is Your plan for my life, my marriage, my family, my finances?”
When we stop asking “why” and start asking “what do You want me to do?”— we position ourselves to hear clearly. Because our God speaks — through His Word, through the Holy Spirit, and through stillness. He is alive, He is personal, and He is faithful.
Today, release the false labels. Receive your true identity. Walk in the confidence of being known, loved, and chosen.
Stay blessed and rooted in Him.
