Are you standing for the restoration of your marriage? A daily devotional that will offer encouragement from God’s Word as you stand for the restoration of your marriage.

Will You Choose to Live a Blameless Life?

You must be blameless before the Lord your GodDeuteronomy 18:13

Who do you blame for your marriage problems? Do you blame your spouse for the failure of your marriage? Do you blame others for your circumstances? It is easy to blame others or find fault with someone else, but I challenge you to choose to live a blameless life before your Lord.

What does that really mean? How can we, as sinners, be blameless? This word is defined as having integrity, upright or righteous. Is that you?

Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent?   Who may live on your holy mountain? The one whose walk is blameless,  who does what is righteous,   who speaks the truth from their heart; whose tongue utters no slander,  who does no wrong to a neighbor,  and casts no slur on othersPsalm 15:1-3

God wants you to stand strong in Him, knowing His truths. He wants you to read the Word and offer forgiveness to those who have hurt you. We have many people who are praying for their parent’s and siblings’ salvation and for their marriages to be restored. Is anything too hard for the Lord?

How is your thought life? We must speak the truth from our hearts and not blame or criticize others. That is not always easy when you feel abandoned and attacked. Let the Lord touch your life, guiding you towards a holy and blameless life.

Paul emphasized in the New Testament the importance of living in holiness and living a blameless life. I pray you will be challenged today to examine your walk with the Lord this week. Remember what was said about Noah in Genesis:

…Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.  Genesis 6:9

I am deeply concerned that you will not only seek the Lord for marriage restoration but will also be obedient to the Word of God. Will you live your life according to a higher standard? Do you speak badly about your spouse to others? Do your children overhear conversations that wound them? Beware that you may be falling into the trap of the enemy. Examine your life to see if you are living by God’s Word.

For the Lord gives wisdom;  from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds success in store for the upright,  he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just  and protects the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand what is right and just  and fair—every good path.  Proverbs 2:6-9

Pray that your spouse will not be mastered by adultery, alcohol, or drugs. Be careful that you do not become mastered by sins of jealousy, unforgiveness, anger, bitterness, or hopelessness.

Our Lord is the Deliverer who can free us from our sins. Nothing is too hard for Him to do! Now believe for your marriage to be restored!

But who can discern their own errors?  Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins;  may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless,  innocent of great transgression. May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart  be pleasing in your sight,  Lord, my Rock and my RedeemerPsalm 19:12-14

God bless,

Thank you Charlyne! Father may we and our spouses be blameless before You. May our walk be blameless, may we do what is righteous, may we speak the truth from our hearts; may our tongues utter no slander, may we do no wrong to one another , and cast no slur on each other.( Deuteronomy 18:13; Psalm 15:1-3)

Halls of Heaven
Like a child we come running
Through the halls of Heaven
To the Holy of Holies
Doors are flung wide open
Joy is overflowing
In the halls of Heaven

I pray the Lord will help me to remember when facing the words that come from my spouse or others that are critical that it’s not my spouse or others but the enemy attacking me. Thank you Lord & Charlyne
